Fall camps are in full swing and the season is just three weeks away. Scholarship offers continue to be extended and commitments still continue to take place. We have reached the point in the week where we get caught up on a busy week of recruiting news. Here are several prospects making recruiting headlines this week.   [player_tooltip player_id='190887' first='Charlie' last='Cantrell']-Offensive Line-Marion-2025   The Marion Patriots have one of the most talented offensive line units in the state of Arkansas. Marion center [player_tooltip player_id='190887' first='Charlie' last='Cantrell'] is a student of the game and is constantly working to take his game to the next level. He is an explosive player that gets into the opposing defender quickly. Cantrell uses his hands well to keep opposing defenders out of the offensive backfield. Meanwhile, he does a good job in helping clear a path for his running back. Earlier in the week, Cantrell earned a scholarship offer from Lyon College. I expect a strong season from the Marion center this fall.   [player_tooltip player_id='1285804' first='Nickolus' last='Tyler']-Linebacker-Joe T. Robinson-2025   [player_tooltip player_id='1285804' first='Nickolus' last='Tyler'] is a prospect that will see playing time on both sides of the ball this upcoming season. On the defensive side of the ball, Tyler does a great job of reading the play and putting himself in position to make the stop. He has the quickness to get off of blocks and essentially lives in the offensive backfield. Meanwhile, on the offensive side of the ball, he is a reliable wide receiver that hauls the ball in on a consistent basis. Tyler earned a scholarship offer from Minnesota North earlier in the week. I expect Tyler to have a strong 2024 football season.   [player_tooltip player_id='731120' first='Jackson' last='Elam']-Kicker-Batesville-2026   [player_tooltip player_id='731120' first='Jackson' last='Elam'] has had a strong summer on the camp circuit. He has had the opportunity to showcase his accurate leg. Elam doubles as both a kicker and a punter and has opened plenty of eyes leading up to the 2024 season. Kohl's Kicking has Elam ranked as the 39th ranked kicker in the country and the 32nd ranked punter. He is a player to watch out for this upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='1269489' first='Montrell' last='Martin']-Tight End-Little Rock Southwest-2025   The Little Rock Southwest prospect is a versatile player on both sides of the ball. On the defensive side of the ball, he can rotate from the defensive line to the linebacker positions with very little difficulty. Meanwhile, on the offensive side of the ball, he has proven to be a tight end that can open up rushing lanes as well as pass block effectively. Martin is also an impressive wide receiver that is difficult to bring down. Martin earned a scholarship offer from Temple University earlier in the week. He is a player to watch out for this season.   [player_tooltip player_id='301196' first='Karter' last='Ratliff']-Tight End-Bryant-2025   The Bryant Hornets each season are always loaded with talented players that can make plays on both sides of the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='301196' first='Karter' last='Ratliff'] is a player that can shift from the tight end to the wide receiver position with no trouble at all. Ratliff does a great job of creating separation from opposing defensive backs. He is a threat in the redzone as well as a receiver that will haul in the receptions to extend drives. The Bryant tight end earned a scholarship offer from Ouachita Baptist earlier in the week. I expect a strong season from the Bryant tight end this season.
