PRZPA Team Preview, Warwick

<p><strong>Season Outlook: </strong>Warwick has struggled for the last few seasons and dropped back to 3-7 last year after winning 5 games the year before. They have a strong 2026 class of prospects and they should propel them to a better season this year. </p>   <p><strong>Current Head Coach:</strong> Bob Locker</p>   <p><strong>Top returning prospects for the 2024 season</strong>:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='941099' first='Wes' last='Brunken'] played as a guard last year. He does well in the run game by firing off the ball and driving defenders down the field. He has a good stance and starts and shows good strength. He can move well and shows this off by pulling and kicking out defenders. He shows good footwork as well by driving defenders off the ball. He is good at pass protection and moves his feet well to stay in front of defenders. Brunken has great potential and should improve in the next two years. He is a ball hawk on defense. He does a great job of reading the quarterback's eyes and then breaking on the ball thrown in his direction. He had 3 defensive touchdowns. One was on Junior Varsity and two against Muhlenberg in a Varsity game. All 3 were interceptions that he read the passing play, intercepted the ball, and raced to the end zone. He does a good job of playing in space. He is also good against the run by coming upfield and making tackles in the run game. He does a good job firing off the ball and controlling defensive players. He moves well and takes pride in pulling and kicking out defenders. He also has a nasty streak and when he blocks defenders he does a good job of finishing the block. He is a big play machine who runs past defenders well on post routes and fade balls. At both routes, he shows off the speed to beat defenders off the ball. Then when the ball is in the air he attacks the ball and makes the play over defenders. He also showed a good ability to find an opening in the zone and then catch the ball in between defenders. He does a good job of pulling and kicking out defenders. He is a good athlete who moves well from his offensive line position. He shows good strength and blocks defenders well by using that strength. Rowe should be a contributor this season for Warwick. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1520442' first='Quinn' last='Care'] is a good player on both sides of the ball for Warwick. He plays as a defensive back and as a wide receiver. At defensive back, he shows good coverage skills and ball skills. He breaks on the ball thrown well and is a ball hawk. He is also a good tackler in the open field. He hits defenders well and shows them how tough he is as a defender. At wide receiver, he does a good job of catching the ball in traffic in between defenders. He is also good after the catch by catching the ball and making a big play out of short pass plays. He projects as someone who should play as an offensive tackle or on the defensive line for Warwick. He has some good ability and should be a good player this year for Warwick. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Preston_Landis_/status/1778189345268310303 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1520447' first='Vinny' last='Bagonis'] is a good athlete who plays on the defensive line for Warwick. He gets off the ball quickly and creates chaos for the offense by being disruptive in the backfield of the offense. He does a good job of stunting and coming off different angles around the defensive line to confuse the offense. He also has pass-rush moves and does a nice job of attacking the offense. He also showed a motor that never stops. Bagonis should be a good prospect at the defensive line this year. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Thomas Myers has film from two years ago, but nothing from last year. From his film, he showed good ability as a dual-threat quarterback. He has great size standing 6'4 and stands tall in the pocket when he throws the ball. He is good as a runner and is hard to bring down as he is a physical runner. He has a strong arm and shows it off when he throws deep ball. Myers has a chance to be a good quarterback this year for Warwick. </p>    <p><strong>Final Thoughts:</strong> I like Warwick's 2026 class. They have a ton of talented players at the offensive line and skill positions. If they can develop they should help Warwick improve this season. </p>   <p></p>
