Preseason Standouts to Keep an Eye on Opening Week

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's opening Week of the 2024 season and we take a final look at some players that had outstanding Preseason performances and look primed to have a good Fall. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='942506' first='Tanner' last='Savasir'] - 2025 QB - Cherokee</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 6'0 200 dual threat QB is a guy that has been on the Prep Redzone radar all Spring. He accounted for 2200 total yards last year with 17 TDs. Savasir had and outstanding performance in the Warriors final preseason game last Friday completing 20 of 26 attempts for 205 yards and 2 TDs in just two quarters of play. A multisport guy that is a heck of an athlete. Has good arm strength and is accurate on both his long and short passes. Has the wheels to extend the play and pick up positive yards with his legs. Local college programs have finally taking notice with Reinhardt and Berry extending offers. The 6'3 225 returning All Area DE/OLB had an outstanding half against Murray Co in the Lions final scrimmage. He had 7 TT with 2 TFL and an Interception during the varsity portion of the scrimmage. Athletic big man that can play sideline to has has good vision and anticipation at the LB spot. He showed his vertical ability on Friday getting some air to get his hands in the passing lane. Davis had 81 TT last season as a Sophomore and ended the preseason in impressive fashion. He had a pick 6, 2 fumble recoveries (one he returned for a TD), and 6 TT during the varsity portion of the scrimmage. Long, lean, hard hitting Safety that gets downhill quick and likes to hit. Davis has a good long frame and will add additional weight over the next 2 seasons. Physical DE that plays with a mean streak and has good route running ability with soft hands on the offensive side of ball. He was a game changer in Fridays scrimmage vs a very good Heard Co team. Hard to block and is constantly in the offensive backfield, solid tackler. He was just recently named to the Recruit Georgia Pre Season All State team for Class A. He received offers from Wofford and Cornell earlier this off season and took a visit on campus to Georgia State.
