6A-Region 5 Team MVP's

Antioch: (WR) [player_tooltip player_id='966033' first='Brandon' last='Goliday'] ‘26

Cane Ridge: (RB) [player_tooltip player_id='1288080' first='Anthony' last='Sensabaugh'] ‘26

Lavergne: (DT/OL) [player_tooltip player_id='889088' first='Jordon' last='Shaw'] ‘26

McGavock: (Ath) Dale Williams

Smyrna: (LB/RB) [player_tooltip player_id='1261893' first='Adin' last='Augustine']

Stewarts Creek: (RB) [player_tooltip player_id='497427' first='Caleb' last='Floyd']

- Having a top tier quarterback spinning the ball to him, Goliday has a chance to breakout in a big way this Fall as not only the team's leading receiver but also its top playmaker and team MVP. Not many people know too much about Sensabaugh but the Ravens junior back is legit and hopefully this Fall will be his coming out party. LaVergne looks to be in a bit of a transition this year but Shaw is one guy who can make a difference on both sides of the ball for his Wolverines team.

Much of the same can be said for McGavock and their top talent in Williams. This two-way product shows explosive flashes on film that should allow him to be a gamechanger for the Raiders on both sides of the ball. Augustine is a headhunter. Looking over his junior film, the Bulldogs senior linebacker shows some of the best range and quick instincts from the #TN2025 class. His size has him under the radar but a big senior year will certainly boost his stock. Floyd has been sharing carries while waiting his turn but now he is “the guy” in the backfield for his Red Hawks offense that put forth a huge senior year.

6A-Region 6

Brentwood: (RB) [player_tooltip player_id='814799' first='Gavyn' last='Nelson']

Franklin: (DE) [player_tooltip player_id='501903' first='Aiden' last='Elmore']

Independence: (Ath) [player_tooltip player_id='402544' first='Hunter' last='Mullen'] ‘26

Overton: (Ath) [player_tooltip player_id='834631' first='Kaleb' last='Johnson']

Ravenwood: (CB/WR) [player_tooltip player_id='820942' first='Donovan' last='Starr']

Summit: (DL/OL) [player_tooltip player_id='491440' first='Mekhi' last='Bell']

- Going into the Fall season, Nelson is a back that sits under the radar when it comes to recruiting but he has a great chance to change that narrative as he looks to be the bell cow back on a Bruins team that might be heavily leaning on their rushing attack this year. The Admirals are going through some changes but one constant should be Elmore, who could break out as a double digit sack artist this season. People better start getting to know Mullen as he could be a prime candidate for a breakout season this Fall as he should have the ball in his hands a lot at quarterback while using his natural ball hawk abilities to pick off passes on defense.

Moving over to Region 6, the Overton Bobcats will be facing a new challenge while looking for new players to step forward into lead roles and Johnson looks like the guy to take the mantle as the team's top playmaker. Ranked inside our Top 20 overall prospects, Starr is a dynamic prospect that will head to college as a cornerback but his speed will certainly be utilized on offense and maybe in the return game. Over the past two months, Bell has been on a recruiting heater, landing several strong offers but he must back it up this Fall. He is one player on the Spartans roster that can be a game wrecker on both the offensive and defensive lines.

6A-Region 7 Team MVP's

Clarksville: (RB) [player_tooltip player_id='1240402' first='James' last='Dalrymple']

Dickson Co.: (RB) Ben Hongsermeier

Kenwood: (QB) [player_tooltip player_id='855565' first='Jakoby' last='Cox']

Kirkwood: (LB/RB) [player_tooltip player_id='976602' first='Perry' last='Cross-Snead']

Northeast: (OL/DT) Tysean Bigbee

Northwest: (S) [player_tooltip player_id='1224005' first='Anthony' last='Holland']

Rossview: (LB) [player_tooltip player_id='656684' first='Kole' last='Phillips']

West Creek: (WR/S) [player_tooltip player_id='835863' first='Jacob' last='Hill']

- Last year as a junior, Dalrymple took full control as the team's top running back where he rushed for over a 1,000 yards and I think he will increase his production this season with a solid O-line in front of him. Hongsermeier is a versatile prospect that could play several roles for his Dickson Co. team but indications point towards him being the team's top ball carrier, where I think he can shine. Sporting one of the biggest arms within the #TN2025 class, Cox could be the best quarterback in this region. His play this year will be huge towards the success of his Kenwood team and their hopes of making the playoffs. Cross-Snead will be a major player within this region this year as he will be the team's top ball carrier but also the top tackler on defense.

Bigbee has a great opportunity in front of him this season to become the top player on his Eagles team, who should go both ways. He is a bit undersized but Bigbee could work his way into college scholarships with excellent trench play. Transferring to Northwest for his senior season, Holland is one of the top ball hawks in the state, who has produced more than five interceptions the past two seasons. Another highly productive year could land Holland on the FCS level. Phillips is a hidden gem who is without question the team's MVP. He is one of the top tacklers in the state that shows upside for the college stage. West Creek will be transitioning into a new era this season under a new coaching staff, so players like Hill will need to step into bigger roles and be expected to produce. I think he will as Hill should find snaps at both receiver and safety.

6A-Region 8

Arlington: (RB) [player_tooltip player_id='900800' first='Jhabari' last='Ellis']

Bartlett: (RB) [player_tooltip player_id='1002741' first='Geron' last='Johnson']

Collierville: (QB) [player_tooltip player_id='1177637' first='Grant' last='Troutman']

Cordova: (RB) Jase Ravenell

Germantown: (DB/WR) [player_tooltip player_id='461255' first='Yasir' last='Muhammad']

Houston: (QB) [player_tooltip player_id='816017' first='Chandler' last='Day']

Whitehaven: (DE) [player_tooltip player_id='1162375' first='Cory' last='House'] ‘26

White Station: (LB) [player_tooltip player_id='1116810' first='Keon' last='Fields'] ‘26

- Playing within possibly the toughest region in the state, Arlington needs playmakers and Ellis looks like a guy who can play that role for the Tigers. This senior two-way talent is ranked as a running back but is athletic enough to work the slot and play in the secondary. Committing this summer to Mississippi State, Johnson heads into the Fall season as not only a strong team MVP contender but also a prime candidate for 6A Mr. Football. Collierville will be a mystery to me until I start to see some action, which includes Troutman, who has big time talent but has yet to be the starter within the Dragons offense. Ravenell will need to have a big year for this Cordova team to make a dent inside the Top 4 of this region. His quick burst running could cause issues for opposing defenses.

Starring as the team's top cover corner, Muhammad is a natural athlete that will be asked to shut down one side of the field while also contributing on offense as a stretch the field pass catcher. Day returns for his senior season as the reigning 6A championship quarterback and someone I think has another level to his game. The Mustangs signal caller is a poised performer that showed passing upside last year and I can see his numbers increasing this Fall with some athletic talent around him. It was a tough call for the Tigers team MVP but I had to go with House as I see this #TN2026 defensive end having a big junior year that places him on the national map. Lookout for Fields this season to become a breakout player, team MVP and potential region tackling leader.
