3A-Region 1 Team MVP's

Chuckey-Doak: (RB) Hayden Roper

Claiborne: (RB) Tylor Sharp

Gatlinburg-Pittman: (LB) [player_tooltip player_id='1100693' first='Ben' last='Reece']

Johnson Co.: (WR/S) Jace Stout

Pigeon Forge: (RB/DB) Karson Blalock

Unicoi Co.: ‘26 (QB) [player_tooltip player_id='1115203' first='Kolby' last='Jones']

- The Black Knights are looking to repeat their success from last year and if they are to do so, Roper will need to play at a high level and develop into the team's top offensive threat. It could be a challenge this Fall for the Bulldogs but one senior to watch for them as a go-to guy is Sharp. Looking through the Claiborne roster, it looks like there's plenty of opportunities for others to step up into key starters. It's a new era on the Mountain for the Highlanders. There is a new staff in place and several key players are gone but one constant, who should be the team MVP is Reece. His play will be important towards the team's success this season.

Johnson Co. have a few options to consider but I see Stout as the eventual MVP due to his playmaking abilities that should be displayed on both sides of the ball. It appears Pigeon Forge could be going through a transitional season, so anybody could step forward. For the moment, I see Blalock as a guy with an opportunity in front of him to become the team's top offensive prospect. The potential MVP for this entire region is Jones. The Blue Devils junior signal caller is a talented young man with good size, athleticism and arm talent to reach the collegiate playing field one day.

3A-Region 2 Team MVP's

Alcoa: (QB/Ath) [player_tooltip player_id='783053' first='Eli' last='Graf']

Austin-East: (DB/WR) Terrence Brown

Kingston: ‘26 (RB) [player_tooltip player_id='1606161' first='Taeshaune' last='Hamilton']

Scott: (RB) Lucas Boles

Union Co.: ‘26 (QB) [player_tooltip player_id='492593' first='Brandon' last='Reed']

- Taking over the quarterback role for the Tornadoes this season will be Graf. This multi talented prospect is a calming presence both on the field and in the locker room, providing strong leadership as well as the ability to beat defenses with his arm and his legs. Brown returns for his senior season with a shot at boosting his stock in a big way by showing increased speed and playmaking abilities from both the receiver and defensive back positions.

A bulldozer with the ball in his hands, Hamilton has a chance to rush for over 1,000 yards this season and take his recruiting stock to another level. He should be the top threat on offense for the Yellow Jackets and develop into one of the top junior backs from the East TN region. Scott has been playing up-hill for the last couple of years, so it will be interesting to see some progress this season. If they are able to do that, Boles should become their featured player. The Patriots may have a strong option at quarterback over the next two years to build around in Reed.

3A-Region 3 Team MVP's

Brainerd: (WR/DB) Jaydan Parker

Chatt. Central: (Ath) [player_tooltip player_id='822698' first='Ronye' last='Watson']

McMinn Central: (QB) Ayden Plemons

Meigs Co.: (LB) Landon Ricker

Sweetwater: ‘26 (Ath) Jeremiah Parris

Tyner Academy: (DE/LB) [player_tooltip player_id='467259' first='Jaeden' last='Isbell']

- Athletic with range and ball hawk tendencies, Parker is a dynamic playmaker on the back end of the Panthers secondary that should play a big role at receiver as well. His speed and big play skills will be needed as Brainerd makes a run at the playoffs. Much of the same can be said about Watson. The Pounders senior two-way talent is one of the more athletic prospects coming out of the greater Chattanooga area this year that will be a game changer for his Central team. Plemons is an undersized but athletic and strong dual threat quarterback that should be carrying the ball a ton this season.

The Tigers look to be in rebuild mode this 2024 season. There are a lot of questions about Meigs Co. this year, so opportunity is there for new guys to step forward, including Ricker, who could gain snaps on both sides of the ball. A recent subtraction from the Cats backfield, opens the door for others to step up and I think Parris could be that guy. His upside fits best on defense but his athleticism will certainly be needed on offense. The Rams could have one of the better defenses on the 3A level with Isbell at its forefront. This 6'2 defender has some serious burst off the snap with potential to produce double digit sacks.

3A-Region 4 Team MVP's

Community: ‘26 (Ath) Luis Butler

Giles Co.: (OL/DT) Kaden Reinhart

Grundy Co.: ‘26 (LB) Kegan Kilgore

Sequatchie Co.: (QB) [player_tooltip player_id='279486' first='Sam' last='Evitts']

Watertown: (WR/S) [player_tooltip player_id='1125367' first='Marcus' last='Reynolds']

- The Vikings could be a sneaky team to face within this region with a guy like Butler, who could become the team's top playmaker. He should be a key starter at both receiver and defensive back this year. Reinhart is a mauler that embraces the physicality. He should be a starting linchpin along with lines of scrimmage this Fall with an opportunity to force more coaches to look at him. Kilgore has the potential to lead this region in tackles over the next two years. The Yellow Jackets junior linebacker showed nice potential last year, displaying the instincts and speed to become a top notch defensive prospect.

A multi year starter for his Indians ball club, Evitts could be in-store for his best season yet where he could not only lead this region in passing but also develop into a potential Mr. Football contender. He has a good supporting cast around him, so plenty of tools are there for Sequatchie Co. and Evitts to succeed in a big way this Fall. The Purple Tigers have a few options for team MVP but Reynolds takes it for me as his value on both sides of the ball will be critical towards Watertown's success this year. He is also a player that can boost his recruiting stock as well with a productive senior season.
