Jamboree Night: Eight Prospects From Eight Scrimmages

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>High School football fields will be lit up tonight, but we are still one week away from games that count in Kansas.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tonight is jamboree night and teams across the state will meet for organized scrimmages to use as final tune-ups for the regular season which begins on September 5 and 6. The jamboree format is voluntary and started in Kansas during the fall of 2019. Some schools still conduct scrimmages within their own programs and I have seen some set up to include elementary and junior high teams in the district. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here is a preview of eight prospects participating in jamborees tonight. Each of the eight prospects are ranked by Prep Redzone and listed in alphabetical order.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1115457' first='Parker' last='Busenitz'],</strong> DB, 5'10”, 170, Shawnee Heights, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Shawnee Heights will be scrimmaging tonight at Benedictine College along with Atchison and Hayden. Busenitz is currently ranked No. 325 overall by Prep Redzone. He is a versatile athlete who can play defense, offense, or special teams for the T-Birds.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='716117' first='Mason' last='Faith']</strong>, OL, 6'2”, 245, Rock Creek, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Rock Creek Mustangs are headed to Chapman tonight to compete with the Fighting Irish and the St. Mary's Bears. Faith is currenlty ranked No.&nbsp; 272 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas. Hagen is currently ranked No. 99 in the Kansas class of 2026 and is the fifth-ranked tight end. Kruse is currently ranked No. 6 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027 and is the top-ranked quarterback. Lindman is currently ranked No. 39 overall in the class of 2025. Lindman was among the state leaders in interceptions last season with six. Stambaugh is currently ranked No. 213 overall by Prep Redzone. He rushed for 578 yards and six touchdowns as a junior. Wesley is a talented big man who is currenlty ranked No. 138 overall in the class of 2025. Wilson is a shutdown corner and is currently ranked No. 21 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas. In the past two seasons, he has accounted for two interceptions and 60 total tackles.
