One of the recent jamborees I got to attend featured the Lift For Life Hawks. Here were some of the players who caught my attention during the limited scrimmage.

[player_tooltip player_id='1403940' first='Kishon' last='Hill'] 2025 QB
- The 6'4 signal-caller is back after a season ending injury last season and looked great leading the Hawks offense. Hill has great size, sees the field well and makes good decisions. While he is more of a pro style QB he is athletic enough to make teams pay with his legs and reeled off a long touchdown run on the night. He has a lot of weapons to spread the ball around to. Should be one of the top quarterbacks in St. Louis in 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='1294363' first='Tejay' last='Woolfolk'] WR
- The son of new head coach Tony Woolfolk, Tejay is a highlight reel type of player who is a tough match up for opposing defenders, and who had his way against some top competition during the jamboree. Tony Jr. is fast and twitchy which makes his tough to cover in space and a deep threat as well with his ability to get behind a defense. He is also an option running the ball and is tough after the catch. It will be no surprise to those who see him this year why he already holds multiple D1 offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1118521' first='Noah' last='Ridgel'] RB
- One of the most underrated running backs in the St. Louis area, Ridgel is a tough runner with good power, speed and runs hard after contact. He rushed for over 900 yards splitting time with a senior in 2023. He is the man this season and looks locked and loaded to prove his talents. A complete back who can also catch the ball and blocks well too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1131028' first='Eke' last='Henderson'] WR
- An emerging prospect in the class of 2027. The Vianney transfer had a great freshman season with the Griffins as a receiver and defensive back. For the Hawks he will focus his talent on the offensive side of the ball. Eke is skilled with his route running and has good hands and concentration to go with his speed and athleticism. Look for a big season from him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1403946' first='Shane' last='Jamison'] OT
- The 6'7" 260 offensive lineman is a transfer from East St. Louis who has been a intriguing prospect since he was a freshman. He has good size and a frame to be a lean 300-pounder on the next level. Shane is also very athletic with long arms and quick feet. He is playing right tackle for the Hawks and looked good with his pass protection against some future D1 talent, and was also very aggressive and physical with his run blocking. He's hungry and motivated.

[player_tooltip player_id='1403948' first='John' last='Young'] DE
- .The versatile Young has played receiver and linebacker in the past for the Hawks and showed how athletic he is. He is his the biggest and most physically impressive he has been since first seeing him as a freshman. Now ready for his senior season, John had a very good scrimmage playing DE for the Hawks. He looks very comfortable on edge and uses his quick first step and speed to get up field in a hurry.
