MITCHELL, SD-- We pop out our last list of standouts in Part II from the Dakota Wesleyan prospect camp a couple weeks back. If you are looking for a group of prospects that are small school sleepers at the next-level, this is a great list for you to see as there is a good mix of small town 2025s and more 2025s that are under the radar only due to their measurables. We also have two 2026s on our list, one that has become a stockriser this summer and another new name from the hometown Mitchell Kernels that showed off some great upside on Sunday.

Logan was a defensive line prospect in the 2026 class that showed off promising upside with the skillsets I caught in my notebook. He certainly showed off well with his footwork showing off solid balance moving laterally and adding great fluidity to them as well. I wish I would have caught more reps from Logan that show off his strength and technique, as he was a district champion as a sophomore throwing the discus with his top number being over 153 feet. I couldn't find tape on Logan as of yet, but he seems like a great addition to the Kernels in the defensive trenches.

Josiah Lowery, OL/DL, Burwell, NE 2025

Josiah was an small town sleeper I got to get my first live eval on at the Dakota Wesleyan prospect camp out of Nebraska that caught my attention in Mitchell. I saw in reps that Josiah won a handful of leverage battles and showed off one of the more physical overall punches I witnessed amongst the OL group at DWU. The 5'11 235 pounder from Burwell has certainly turned a corner from his 2023 tape as I thought his junior season was very raw on tape and I thought has groomed his skillsets quite well at DWU and has a good shot of playing at the next level.

This was a first look at a live-eval from Millard South 2025 linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='319195' first='Jameson' last='Rayner'] as a prospect that has been on my radar but as I always say, the live-eval and reps at camps always show you what you want to see. I felt out of the linebacker in the group, Jameson flourished with his well-versed instincts constantly playing downhill as a run stopper. You could just tell from watching his eyes that even outside of a camp setting, he does a solid job with his ball-tracking. Jameson also appeared much longer with his lower body with his first step getting to the ball than the live-eval did the justice for as it lines up just as well with his junior tape. He certainly too plays with the ideal motor that more college programs need to take a look at in my eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='929915' first='Traeson' last='Weatherford'], LB, TDACDC, SD 2026 Twitter

This wasn't my first rodeo watching Traeson at camps this summer, as he was also a standout in my notebook at DWU's biggest rival, Dakota State's prospect camp. What has improved for Traeson? Based on what my eyes saw in Mitchell, I felt Traeson has gotten more sudden with the release of his burst than what the junior tape shows off as a LB prospect that has made some steady gains since October-November and even slightly from just under a month ago. That untapped upside has come out and throttled thru too with the physicality Traeson can make with his contact too, as I saw improved pursuit angles at DWU as well. He is a 2026 prospect that is due for a rankings bump for what he has shown off on the camp trail this summer.

Colten McMillen, WR, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 2025 Twitter

The 6'5 200 pounder 2025 wide receiver made the trip from Wisconsin Rapids all the way to Mitchell in which he was certainly a wide receiver that caught my attention with not only his frame, but the skillsets he put on display. As you can imagine, Colten showed off great length across the board especially with his catch radius he showed off in Mitchell. Colten I felt showed the quickest development amongst the offensive skill prospects at DWU, as even though he had a couple drops, etc. he appeared to always have a "next play up" mentality and took well to grabbing the attention to detail with the coaches he worked with on the Tigers staff. Colten looked good with his instinct on his first step on the start of his routes consistently during camp as he is a WR prospect that has raw yet is one that I believe could grow and develop quickly in the right college football system.

Kenddrik Mason, OL/DL Millard South, NE 2025 Twitter

The low man wins in the trenches and that was what I liked out of our second prospect from Millard South on this list in 2025 OL/DL Kenddrik Mason. You could tell by his low pad-level, he was able to get leverage well in the reps I caught as he also showed off promise with his hand placements. He fits the physicality mold I would like to see out of a small school offensive center at the next-level as Kenddrik on tape shows off great technique and relatively balanced footwork too. He is one that needs a good senior tape to show off more to college coaches.
