Class of 2026 Pre-Season: All-Dominant Team

<p>With only a couple of weeks left until the kickoff of week 0, the excitement of high school football in Arkansas is rising once again. Here is the 2024 preseason all-dominant team for the class of 2026. The all-dominant team is for athletes that we expect to continue their dominance on the football field and in the classroom or shock the state and rise up recruiting boards.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Quarterback:</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='202575' first='Kane' last='Archer'] is a 4-Star quarterback and that plays on another level. Archer displays good footwork inside the pocket, planting his drop step with a strong base and stepping into his throws with good torque. He has good pocket mobility, both inside and outside of the pocket, where he can extend plays and continue to throw on the run with accuracy. Within the pocket, he's very agile with good hip fluidity while keeping his eyes downfield. He has good processing of blitzes and coverages pre-snap with good pocket awareness, as he can diagnose and anticipate areas where the pocket breaks down and evades pressure. He moves through his progressions really well and quickly, displaying his high-level IQ. Archer can hit all levels of the field (short, intermediate, and deep) with good precision, accuracy, ball placement, and very good arm talent. Demonstrates good decision-making ability, showing command in the offense and choosing the right reads. Archer anticipates his throws to allow his receivers for potential yards after catch opportunities off their breaks. Archer excels in every aspect of the game due to his strong forward momentum on his delivery and can hurt you in play action with a quick release. Hodges displays very good post-snap vision to read defensive fronts and the flow to attack the hole quickly with good burst. He has good patience behind the line of scrimmage to follow blockers. Multi-cut ability with impressive acceleration to separate from the first and second level after making his cut. Along with that, he showcases good change of direction and vision, as he can locate cutback lanes quickly and get upfield. Very good balance to withstand contact with active feet, good leg drive and acceleration through contact to gain additional yards. Displays a quick release off the line of scrimmage due to good acceleration and footwork to eat up space quickly, becoming a vertical threat quickly to win over the top. Creates separation consistently from opposing defensive backs on breaks due to good change of direction, balance and burst. No wasted motion through his routes as he is a smooth route runner. Austin has the ability to work the underneath routes and turn a short gain into an explosive one with his YAC ability due to his COD, good lateral agility and burst. Goodwin displays explosion off the line of scrimmage with good initial quickness, pad level, very good lower body power, and foot quickness, allowing him to create leverage with good hand placement, hand strength, and punch timing to throw off defenders, drive the opposition back or displace to create a running lane. Good angling in reach and zone blocks. Good initial quickness into his 45 and vertical sets. Very strong anchor in pass protection, demonstrating control with very good lower body strength, core strength, good hand placement, and awareness to potential stunts. Beale displays explosion off the line of scrimmage with good acceleration. He's able to disengage off blocks quickly due to good use of hands and make a play in the backfield. Showcases good foot quickness, upper and lower body power along with pad level to drive the OL back with a bull rush, creating pressure in the pocket. A 2-gap run stopper with a blend of quickness, power, strength and athleticism that you want inside. Some might see him as an Isaiah Simmons or Kyle Hamilton style where he could play safety and linebacker at the next level. Smith displays very good read and react ability, attacking downhill instantly vs the running game while staying square with good pad level, angles and UOH to shed blocks and make a play. Sideline-to-Sideline motor with the physicalness and speed to shoot gaps and make a play in the backfield. Good feel in zone and man coverage, keying the quarterbacks' eyes and reacting off the throw. His change of direction and lateral agility allows him to transition through assignments and stay on his man. Williams<strong> </strong>displays good read-and-react ability, with the ability to change direction quickly due to good fluidity and burst to break on the ball against the run and make tackles in space. Good speed and fluidity, allowing Williams to transition quickly and stay inside the hip pocket of the receiver off breaks, preventing any separation and forcing pass breakups. He exhibits a playstyle similar to Deebo Samuel's, stemming from his background as both a running back and a wide receiver with explosion. Out wide, he displays a quick release vs Off-Man Coverage, due to good foot quickness and speed, coupled with acceleration and balance, allowing him to eat up space quickly. Following that release, he can quickly create separation over the top, showcasing a remarkable stop-and-go capability that causes defenders to commit. His ability to separate on breaks is due to good change of direction, body control, balance, and burst, providing the quarterback with a window. Good and strong hands due to good hand-eye coordination, ball tracking, and body control, enabling him to catch the ball from his frame and secure catches in contest. He can also adjust mid-route to snag passes that are behind or too high, high-pointing the football. His attributes also translate into efficient route running and a threat after the catch (YAC), due to his elusiveness, lateral agility, change of direction, and burst, which allow him to execute sharp cuts or quickly get up field. Out of the backfield, he displays good post-snap vision and patience, reading first-level defenders and locating running lanes, bursting through gaps with good burst. Shavers has a solid release due to solid acceleration and good foot quickness to eat up space quickly. He showcases an impressive combination of speed and smooth route-running ability to create separation from opposing defensive backs at breaks due to good burst, balance, and change of direction (COD) ability. After the catch, he can become dangerous due to his good COD, body control, and burst to get up field quickly after the catch.
