August Rankings Release: 2028 Linebackers

<p>We have officially released the rankings for the class of 2028 in the state of Arkansas. In this article, we will showcase the 2028 linebackers with analysis. Over the next week, I will break down these rankings by position, including other segments. Welcome to High School.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1192057' first='Seth' last='Wood'], a Greenwood product, ranks first on our board. Wood showcases a sideline-to-sideline motor and good angles when pursuing ball carriers. He plays physical at the point of attack with solid awareness to read and react quickly. Wood is someone to watch in 2024.</p>   <p>* No Social Media Found*</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1202917' first='Kalen' last='Summons'] ranks second on our board and is my favorite linebacker prospect in the class of 2028. Summons is a high-motor player with sideline-to-sideline ability and solid athleticism. He shows the ability to contain the edge and shoot through gaps to make plays in the backfield. He takes on blocks effectively, staying square with good hand timing, placement, and physicality to disengage and tackle the ball carrier. He consistently pressures the quarterback with his quickness at the position. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Note – 3.8 GPA</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Kj_2028/status/1826767231167902171 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1185930' first='Brandon' last='Johnson'] ranks third on our board as a physical linebacker at the POA with a sideline-to-sideline motor. Johnson displays a quick first step, coupled with the ability to read and react quickly and effectively, bursting through gaps to disrupt plays in the backfield. A reliable tackler both in open spaces and congested areas with good technique and angles. His transition in coverage is effective due to solid awareness and football IQ.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Note – 3.1 GPA</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/BrandonJ2028/status/1826397992070549772 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1170932' first='Kaleb' last='Tubbs'] is number four on our board. I was able to watch Tubbs in early spring in person as he showcased solid lower body strength and physicality with a sideline-to-sideline motor. Tubbs displays a quick first step while reading and reacting, then attacks downhill with solid angles and stays square to make a play against the run. He demonstrates good awareness and the ability to tackle in open space with solid technique. With his foot quickness and lower body strength, he has the ability to play on the DL.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Note – 3.5 GPA</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Kaleb_Tubbs52/status/1724964811493032256 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1338087' first='Blake' last='Moody'] rounds out the top five, coming in at number five for the position. Moody stands out as a versatile prospect, having played defensive end, linebacker, and tight end. Defensively at linebacker, he displays a solid motor and the ability to pursue ball carriers from behind with good foot quickness and angles. His length for his age is a significant factor in quickly shedding blocks with his use of hands. He can play off the EDGE or off-ball linebacker. Couch displays solid explosion off the snap, coupled with good pad level, bend, hand usage, and leg drive to drive the offensive line back and disrupt the backfield against both the run and the pass. Couch's power and strength will be a major factor in the trenches.
