Allen High School is one of the state's most consistent programs and continues to reload year after year. It's home to alumni like Kyler Murray, Jalen Guyton, and Cedric Ogbuehi to name a few. This past fall, the Eagles finished with a 9-5 record, falling in the Class 6A Division I Region I final to a very talented North Crowley team. This fall expectations are sky-high yet again as the Eagles bring back a boatload of talented prospects from last year's squad. Keep an eye on their week two match-up against Cedar Hill, it should be a fun one. Today, I looked at Allen's top prospects on offense. Look for part II of this series analyzing their defense to drop tomorrow afternoon!

Offense

OL: [player_tooltip player_id='1420861' first='Colter' last='Alberding'], 6'3" 270, Senior

A rice commit that projects as a guard and can bend at the knees & ankles. He can easily unlock his hips & punch on a rise and has a strong base that pairs well with his raw upper body strength.

QB: [player_tooltip player_id='1140460' first='Brady' last='Bricker'] 6'2" 180, Senior

A dual-threat quarterback prospect with deceptive build-up speed, enough arm to challenge defensive backs over the top, and calm footwork that he uses to glide up & around the pocket away from potential rushers.

OL: Grant Nicholson, 6'5" 250, Senior

Grant explodes out of his stance in pass protection keeping his shoulders square to the line of scrimmage. He's got the quickness and bend-to-stall speed rushers, he's got a heavy inside hand, and he can reset his mits if his punch lands outside the breastplate.

WR: [player_tooltip player_id='1556115' first='Donnell' last='Gee Jr.'], 6" 175, Senior

Donnell has a massive catch radius, he can toe-tap the sideline with no issue, he has the quickness and hands to defeat press coverage, and shows the late downfield speed to run under the nine route.

WR: Za'leal Johnson, 6'4" 175, Senior

A long-limbed prospect with good speed, the ability to pluck the football out of the air, and terrific leaping ability. To be transparent, I need more tape on him for a proper eval.

WR: [player_tooltip player_id='841866' first='Reid' last='Nicholson'] 6'5" 190, Senior

A lengthy possession receiver with excellent concentration, body control to adjust back to the football, and smooth transition skills at the top of his route.

RB: Micah Ellis, 5'8" 165, Senior

An elusive back that can drop his shoulders and slip through opposing second-level tacklers. Micah is strong through contact, he has the vision plus stop & start to stick his foot in the dirt and bounce a run to the perimeter. He's got good wiggle and knows how to use rush angles to set up opposing tacklers.

OL: [player_tooltip player_id='1328777' first='Jacob' last='McRae'] 6'4" 285, Junior

Jacob has great size for a center, he's quick out of his stance picking up inside slants, he's got heavy hands at the point of attack, and can kick outside to tackle as a swing guy if in a pickle.

OL: Ethan Villareal, 6'2" 270, Junior

An interior prospect who plays with low pads, keeps his eyes up, stays hip to hip on double teams, and has the grip strength to lock on & secure blocks at the second level.

ATH: [player_tooltip player_id='208493' first='Caleb' last='Smith'] 5'8" 160, Junior

A playmaker on the ground or through the air. Caleb has exceptional contact balance & will accelerate through tackle attempts, he's a natural hands catcher who hauls the football in away from his body and has game-breaking speed to outrun angles. He's lightning in a bottle and one of the most explosive prospects in the DFW.

WR: Carter Harris, 6'3" 180, Junior

Harris will look to transition his success at the lower levels to varsity football under the lights. He's a ferocious blocker on the perimeter, equipped with enough speed to run by nosey corners, he accelerates out of his cuts and is an extremely reliable target at the intermediate level.

WR: [player_tooltip player_id='1757424' first='James' last='Roberson'], 6'1" 185, Sophomore

This young man can easily roll the neck & track the go ball over the shoulder. He's electric with the ball in space & can make you pay if you give him a crease, he's physical with the ball in his hands and can generate late separation on the fade route.
