With five receivers inside of our overall top 25 and nine inside the Prep RedZone South Carolina top 100, the impact of the deep threats and touchdown makers can't be denied.

Factor in the 33 additional receivers we currently have ranked, and it only furthers the statement.

The Palmetto State is home to some high-impact players at the position in the senior class. Collectively, it's a group with 42 different stories and 42 different developmental lines that we'll tell you all about.

Let's start by showing you every 2025 receiver we've ranked to date.

BREAKING DOWN THE TOP FIVE

[player_tooltip player_id='272701' first='John' last='Simmons'] Myrtle Beach

Simmons has been knocking on the door since the start of his freshman season, when he was a Day 1 starter opposite Adam Randall. For his career, he's got 64 receptions for 1,057 yards and 18 touchdowns. However, he's also had six different quarterbacks throwing him the ball in those three seasons. Going into his senior year, the connection between he and [player_tooltip player_id='1254177' first='Gibson' last='Goodroe'] shouldn't be overlooked. This is the steadiest combination Simmons has been a part of at Myrtle Beach.

[player_tooltip player_id='464880' first='Stephen' last='Collier'] River Bluff

It's not a stretch of the imagination that Collier could be looked at as a tailback. He's built like one, and with six carries last year he rushed for 103 yards and four touchdowns. But his hands, ability to get open and then what he does after the catch made him a top receiving target in the state. He's verbally committed to East Carolina and simultaneously primed for the type of senior season that could eclipse his first three varsity ones combined.

[player_tooltip player_id='1012637' first='Jackson' last='Repp'] Christ Church

All Repp (pictured) did as a sophomore and junior was haul in 2,406 yards worth of passes for 39 touchdowns en route to helping lead Christ Church to back-to-back state championships at the Class A level. He bolstered all that by putting up some blistering times at a camp this summer that led to an offer from South Carolina. Because of his speed and cutting ability, he might be the most difficult coverage assignment in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='464881' first='Jayden' last='Sellers'] South Florence

The blow from losing the majority of his junior season to an ACL tear has only created more anticipation from what the multi-faceted playmaker can do during his senior year. Sellers is going to have passes thrown his way, sure. But he's also proved he can run the ball out of the backfield or on end-arounds and get involved in the return game. South's first four games are each going to be considered one of the best in the state that respective week, which only brightens the spotlight that much more.

[player_tooltip player_id='1012834' first='Malik' last='Clark'] Rock Hill

Younger players, take note of what a near-perfect offseason is supposed to look like prior to your senior season. Clark showed out at a state-wide all-star event (Blitz Bowl), showed up to the Carolinas Coaches Combines ready to work and clocked some eye-popping times, researched his college options and verbally committed to a top-10 team from the last college football season. This ascent to the top of the positional rankings really started during his sophomore season (clips below).

TEN RISING STARS

[player_tooltip player_id='1359211' first='Keenan' last='Arcega-Whiteside'] Dorman

The 3-8 finish last fall left us wanting to see more out of several Cavaliers. After getting a strong look at a few of them this offseason, we're having a hard time seeing 3-8 happen again. When it comes to Arcega-Whiteside, it's because he's a verified 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds and is able to use his stride to get moving when he needs to.

[player_tooltip player_id='1359164' first='Amarii' last='King'] Brookland-Cayce

King is moving to his third school in as many seasons after previously playing at Keenan and then Cardinal Newman. In his next stop, he's going to bring his 6-foot-2, 205-pound frame into a region that is wide open top to bottom and shows for some electric games every Friday night, especially in October. King's going to be a big part of that energy.

[player_tooltip player_id='929482' first='Kaden' last='Gore'] North Myrtle Beach

Gore brings an ultra-valuable component to the Chiefs' offense this fall. While he has the look of a small-college slot receiver, he's almost always lining up on the outside. Yet, he brings a start-stop-start and quick cuts to the position and swallows up everything thrown near the sidelines. We imagine trying to cover him isn't exactly fun.

[player_tooltip player_id='1157959' first='Avery' last='Jones'] Airport

Technically Jones dipped ever so slightly in our overall player rankings, but in terms of keeping up with his namesake, he's more than accomplished that in his final offseason. The top priority was building himself up physically so he can stay on the field. If he does that, his receptions-per-touchdown and yards-per-receptions numbers scream huge overall improvement.

[player_tooltip player_id='1291891' first='Jeremie' last='Richardson'] Crestwood

Everyone's stock at Crestwood was in a bit of a holding pattern after the graduation of 2,500-yard passer Javion Martin. However, what we see out Richardson is the type of receiver who can help break in a new quarterback. We already knew he was good deep, but his underneath value to this team simultaneously raises his own stock, too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1254122' first='Jamarcus' last='Smith'] Gaffney

After putting up 512 receiving yards and six touchdowns as a sophomore and 787 yards and six more scores as a junior, it's important to note that Smith is about to have his third different quarterback throwing him passes. This time around, he's had the bulk of the offseason to build a rhythm with Arkansas commit [player_tooltip player_id='284134' first='Jayvon' last='Gilmore'] and we think the combination is potent.

[player_tooltip player_id='1158021' first='Kevin' last='Boone'] Berkeley

Boone was good as a junior, when he led the Stags with 797 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. Now factor in that a significant amount of the offense around him (Boone included) was just sort of of figuring out how to make it all work. Berkeley isn't a well-oiled machine necessarily, but Boone and his teammates are trending upward quickly.

[player_tooltip player_id='1249764' first='Jordan' last='Collins'] South Pointe

It may take a few games for Collins' outlook to become more clear this year - incoming starting quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='473002' first='Cameron' last='McMillon'] is still recovering from surgery - but the 6-foot-2, 215-pound receiver/tight end hybrid is a budding star in the Catawba River Region and beyond. He's already verbally committed to Navy.

[player_tooltip player_id='413888' first='Josh' last='Brown'] Socastee

Brown long since popped into our radar. But we think the recipe for his senior season is easily his best, yet. Last week's CNB Kickoff Classic showing backed up that belief. It was then that he took a quick pass and turned it into an 85-yard touchdown in which he proved that his skill set doesn't need straight burner status to execute.

[player_tooltip player_id='1012616' first='Mikkel' last='Skinner'] Riverside

Much like Collier at River Bluff, Skinner often gives off the impression that he's a full-time tailback in the making. While some of the running plays in the Warriors' stat pack were actually backward passes, Riverside has no problem lining Skinner up in a traditional tailback set. It's often the quickest and safest way to get the ball in his hands.

FIVE DARK HORSE CANDIDATES

[player_tooltip player_id='1360340' first='Trevor' last='Reynolds'] Lucy Beckham

Reynolds is the most experienced receiver on this team by a country mile. Last fall, he caught 20 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns. More importantly, he and quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1253938' first='Chalmers' last='Ballard'] know exactly what the other can do.

[player_tooltip player_id='1360308' first='Boykin' last='Bickley'] Dutch Fork

Bickley went from not playing much as a senior to catching 15 passes for 208 yards as a junior. He's about to see another leap in targets as a senior. At least to start, it stands to reason teams won't be focused on him given some of the team's other weapons. They'll learn.

[player_tooltip player_id='1360046' first='Xzaivon' last='Capers'] North Charleston

Interim coach Adrain Grady is going to turn Capers into the offense's primary weapon this fall. At 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds, he's already got a size advantage over opposing defensive backs and will look to boost the Cougars to their first winning record since 2017.

[player_tooltip player_id='734025' first='Nivay' last='Picou'] Ashley Ridge

Two springs ago, Picou, then just a sophomore, got people talking when he ran a 4.59 40 and was clocked at 21.55 miles per hour. However, he missed most of last season while Derrick Salley went bonkers. Now, Salley is in college and Picou is back.

[player_tooltip player_id='1360412' first='EJ' last='Ratley'] Rock Hill

Ratley is 5-foot-8 and 158 pounds. You want to know why we don't care? Because he's got wheels and is a ready-made portion of an offense that is going to have most of its attention drawn to [player_tooltip player_id='1012834' first='Malik' last='Clark'] at another receiver spot. Ratley's opportunity is huge, and he's got the skills to make the most of it.
