2025 Prospects We Need To Discuss More

They would be some good candidates for you to keep your eyes on this season. These are guys with division one talent.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1127570' first='Travon' last='McDonald']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>McDonald is one of the most talented defensive linemen in the state of Mississippi. Last season, he had 16 sacks with 88 tackles. McDonald is a guy who you will see doing back flips before a game. We think that he has the chance to be a linebacker on the next level. If he is able to slim down some that position will fit him well. McDonalds is quick as a cat in the trenches. It is very hard for offensive linemen to keep up with him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Cameron Woodard</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Woodard is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound defensive back who has a several junior college offers. This is a guy who we decided that we needed to go ahead and keep up with. Woodard is a player who really looks like a division one guy. He has the size and he has the length to get it done. We have seen him holding down the cornerback position, but he looks like a guy who can also line up at safety.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Jacari Owens</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Owens is a 2025 player who we saw make a lot of big hits last season. During his sophomore year, we were able to see him catch interceptions and run them back for touchdowns. This is a player who we know can make a lot of plays on the football field. He is one of those guys with great skills in the cover game and against the run. We expect to see his stock rise this season. He may even win his third state championship.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='624053' first='Daylin' last='Page']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Page is committed to Louisiana Tech. This is a guy who we saw do some good things for North Forrest over the past two seasons. Page is expected to be a linebacker or edge player on the next level. We were able to see Page a lot on the camp circuit this past offseason. We know that he is a long guy that moves around with ease. In my opinion, he should lean more towards the outside linebacker position. His frame is going to allow him to gain some more weight that is going to help his game out more.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
