The tape review rolls on seven days a week as we review as many players as possible and update notes and schedules for the upcoming fall season. I intend to juggle all three of the top classes as we roll into August but will give some additional love to the senior's to be since this is their last hurrah.

In today's review, I started out with the intention of writing a 2027 report on some young guns getting ready to make some noise, but after seeing these five guys play and looked into their progress in the off season I decided to shine the spot light on them instead.

So, without further adieu, I bring you, the “End-of-the-Week Five” - some ballers getting ready to burn bright this fall:

[player_tooltip player_id='1115498' first='Scott' last='Moore'] , 6'5, 235, TE, Girard, is ranked #38. He is coming off a breakthrough season a year ago when he caught 44 passes for 589 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. In the off-season he has been hitting it hard, training with legendary coach James Tabor of @PIAthletes and collecting offers on where he will play next year. A versatile receiver who lines up all over the formation, from in tight to in the slot to split wide to force mismatches in the secondary. He also lines up in the wildcat, taking the direct snap in the red zone as a brutally-effective ball carrier. A long, athletic playmaker of a receiver, he has soft hands, an outstanding catch radius and the ability to go the apex-point and make the contested catch. He is going to be a terror in the endzone this fall. He is also a brawler of a blocker and a punishing runner after the catch. This kid has star written all over him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1311009' first='EJ' last='Eitutis'], 6'6, 225, TE, Derby, is ranked #66. As a tight end with prototype size and athleticism you would think he would be getting a ton of attention, but when you play alongside the top-ranked player in the state and on the state runner-up team it hasn't worked out that way. At least not yet. He is a big-target receiver with exceptional reach and has an outstanding catch radius, which will make him a difficult stop in the endzone this fall. He is versatile enough to line up tight, split out or in the slot where he runs precise routes and is fearless going over the middle and making the contested catch. He is also a standout blocker, caving in down blocks and locking up defenders blocking in space. This kid won't be flying under the radar for much longer, get out and watch him shine this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115447' first='David' last='Holguin'], 6'1, 230, DL, Garden City, is ranked #345. He is coming off a good start a year ago when he made 59 tackles, six tackles for loss, a pair of sacks and added a fumble recovery. He was also honorable mention all state and by the end of the season his opponents knew who he was. A strong, agile interior defensive lineman, he has excellent football instincts and read and react skills that enable him to break on the ball very quickly. With a powerful base and weaponized hands, he is a mauler in the trenches, driving through double teams and hammering backs before they can get to the perimeter. He has a good initial burst and maintains solid pad level moving laterally, working through traffic and fighting off would-be blockers. He is an aggressive playmaker along the defensive line who spends a lot of time in the opposing team's backfield. He is getting ready to go off this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='716118' first='Tristan' last='Sprole'] – 6'1, 230, OL/DL, Wichita Collegiate, is ranked #293. He had a breakout year last fall as an aggressive, headhunter of a defensive lineman who piled up 42 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, seven sacks and forced three fumbles. He can play anywhere along the defensive front, as an interior lineman shutting down the run game between the tackles, or on the edge terrorizing the quarterback from the side door. He gets off the ball low and hard and maintains a torpedo-like pad level, shooting gaps and blowing up double teams. He has a powerful base and agile feet which makes him difficult to block one-on-one. He has fine-tuned football instincts and is able to instantly diagnose the play. He moves well laterally and uses his closing speed to always seem to be around the football. He is getting ready to have a banner season this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115508' first='Trace' last='Kopper'], 5'9, 150, QB/FS, Cimmaron, is ranked #370. He put on a show almost every week last year but playing in Western Kansas he has been flying under the radar somewhat. As a two-way, multi-positional player he can do a little bit of everything on both sides of the ball and on special teams as needed. A dual-threat quarterback, last fall he loaded up just under 2,000 total yards, averaged 7.4 yards per carry and fired eight touchdown passes. Although he operates in a run-heavy offense, he throws an accurate short pass and throws well enough deep to keep the defense from loading the box. Where he excels, however, is when he takes off to run. With his 4.5 forty speed, he has great burst and acceleration and is a shifty, elusive runner in the open field. When the play breaks down this kid is just getting started. Get your popcorn out for him this fall.

In conclusion, get these guys on your watchlist. They are getting ready to make some serious noise this fall. And, as always, if anyone knows of players flying under the radar feel free to reach out to CoolDaddyO via DM on X.
