[player_tooltip player_id='885409' first='Kharim' last='Hughley'] has been one of the top risers in the state this offseason. He added an offer in June from Georgia Southern and is a prime breakout candidate this fall. I first saw Hughley throw when he was an 8th grader, where he flashed smooth, clean mechanics. Now, he is starting to grow and become a better athlete with more arm strength. He is still silky smooth and can now make more drive passes. Hughley's touch and timing generate the most intrigue, and he is only going to continue getting better.

Zach Alvarez has consistently been amongst my favorite players in Forsyth County. Here is my May eval of him after another in-person evaluation:

"Zach Alvarez is a raw corner with impressive tangible traits. He is listed at 6'2 180, and having seen him several times in person, he is big. His footwork off the line and his instincts are developing, but he is a competitor on the outside, stepping up on WRs and immediately mixing it up with his length. At 6'2 and a basketball athlete, there is absolutely the ability to play above the rim here. Alvarez is a prototype body with solid speed, explosiveness, and change of direction. He is also a multi-sport athlete. Now, he just has to tie everything together and harness his physical nature."

Chasen Jones is a high-upside WR prospect I identified this offseason. Here is my evaluation from earlier this offseason:

"Jones is a productive two-sport athlete with good size and a high ceiling. He comes in at 6'2 200 and possesses mismatch potential with his strong, lean frame. He doesn't flash a super diverse route tree, but he has the physical edge and size needed to fight for leverage in his routes and play above the rim, something that often translates for basketball players. A bulk of his production comes on screens, where they flip the ball out to him and watch him work after the catch. He lumbers when he moves and has long strides, which allows him to quickly cover some ground with just a few steps. In the short areas, he does flash decent stop-and-start skills and moveability, which allows him to create his own yards and leak out of traffic to find grass. Jones is raw, but as he develops another gear, he could end up being a sneaky good pickup with some high upside."

Garrett Addison is a productive LB prospect in the middle of the Stephens County defense. He makes plays all over the field, including behind the line of scrimmage. He is a patient defender, taking outstanding angles to the football and playing flat along the LOS when reading the run game. He is a form tackler, attacking and wrapping around the mid-section of ball carriers, He will have to continue adding weight to take on blockers consistently, but there is definitely room to add to his thin frame. Addison plays with excellent instincts and is always around the ball as a result. He holds small-school offers and is one of the best linebackers in the region.

[player_tooltip player_id='1319909' first='Walker' last='Bryson'] is one of the most electric players in the state. He comes in at 6'0 180 and impacts the game on offense, defense, and special teams. His elite speed and vision for the field translate to each facet of the game and make him nearly impossible to contain. With the ball in his hands, he has the straight-line speed needed to outrun angles and shoot through openings. However, he is also patient and pinpoints openings well. Toward the end of his runs, he can stiffarm and shrug off tacklers to stay on his feet. It seems he will make his money on defense, where his range and speed from the S spot are put on full display. He can flag down ball carriers breaking into the open field, and he can also mirror/remain in phase with any receiver he has to match up against. Bryson has elite speed and playmaking ability. Ultimately, his experience on offense and special teams will only make him a better DB at the next level. He is a clear P4 DB prospect who should get more love as a junior.

For the last month or so, I keep going back to the junior tape of Brock Szakacs. He is a fluid operator at the QB spot and has outstanding pocket awareness. Arm strength is still developing, but he steps into all of his throws, adding a few extra yards onto each heave. He can mix up trajectories and frequently places the ball in the right location on more difficult throws. Szakacs looks calm and collected while operating, and he has adequate arm strength and talent. I think he is a D1 caliber QB and there's a chance he could slide sub D1, making him a steal candidate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1345979' first='Gus' last='Martin'] is the top playmaker for East Forsyth and is starting to generate a little bit of buzz around his name. Here is a recent eval:

"[player_tooltip player_id='1345979' first='Gus' last='Martin'] quietly had an outstanding junior season at East Forsyth, and a spring offer from Sewanee culminated some of that work. Martin is a scat-back, coming in at 5'8 170. He won't scare you off the bus, but his burst and change of direction are both at a high level. He can dance around contact and can open up his stride to quickly eat up yards in the open field. He also has decent mitts out of the backfield, giving him third-down potential. Martin is versatile, playing some snaps on defense as well. However, he is dangerous with the ball in his hands and projects at RB, where he can more consistently get the ball in space."
