[player_tooltip player_id='719688' first='Daylyn' last='Upshaw'] is an explosive wide receiver who has become one of the top WR prospects in the nation during his time at Central, and rightfully so. Upshaw is a big, physical wide receiver with a ton of speed, acceleration, and a super reliable set of hands. Upshaw is a dynamic deep threat who frequently burns defensive backs at the line of scrimmage with his release to make huge plays downfield. Once the ball is in his hands, Upshaw presents a big problem for defenses- after the catch, Upshaw is a monster that cannot be stopped, he plays with a lot of physicality and is rarely ever easily brought down by defenders. Last fall was an especially year for Upshaw, he had his best season yet and was a constant headache for opposing secondaries. Upshaw recorded 59 receptions for 1185 yards and 15 touchdowns throughout his junior season, consistently making huge plays every time he took the field. Since he's developed into one of the top WRs in the state and country, Upshaw has picked up a lot of top-tier offers since his freshman season. Just this week, Upshaw decided to take his talents to South Beach and committed to Miami, giving them a terrific offensive addition to their 2025 class!

Hughley has established himself as one of the best backs in the state with how well he's played and produced for Opelika the last few seasons. Hughley is a really well-rounded and talented back who plays with a lot of physicality and elusiveness. On tape, he shows that he has some terrific contact balance, isn't afraid of taking hits, and has the speed and ability to make defenders miss- making him a tough-to-stop prospect when the ball is in his hands. It's super impressive watching him play when you consider his workload in Opelika's offense- he frequently has games where he carries the ball at a high rate and never shows any signs of slowing down. Last fall was one of Hughley's best seasons yet, he frequently was an impact player and consistently wore down defenses all season long. This week, Hughley made a big decision in his recruitment and committed to Arkansas State! Keep an eye on him not just this fall but at the next level as well, Hughley has a ton of talents that will allow him to make some jaw-dropping plays wherever he is.

[player_tooltip player_id='741069' first='CJ' last='May'] is an explosive EDGE/DE prospect out of Highland Home who has been phenomenal for their defense over the past few years. May is one of our top players in our 2025 Rankings and for good reason, he makes tons of plays all over the field and can effectively shut down opposing passing and rushing attacks. May has great size, speed, and pursuit that allow him to be a consistent factor on every snap regardless of where he initially lined up. It's really impressive watching May's tape as he is very adaptable and can do whatever his coaches ask of him- he can rush the passer, set the edge against the run, and even occasionally drops back into coverage where he can make some key plays against the pass. Last fall, May had a fantastic junior season where he recorded some of his best stats yet- on the year he totaled up 54 total tackles (10 for loss), 7.5 sacks, 1 interception, 6 pass breakups, and 2 forced/recovered fumbles. With that kind of production, May has been a highly recruited prospect for a few years now but committed to Louisville earlier this week. Keep an eye on him this fall and at the next level, he's an exciting defender to watch with loads of potential!

[player_tooltip player_id='1338043' first='Monterrius' last='Echols'] is a really dynamic defensive back prospect out of Central that has been one of their top coverage corners over the last few seasons. Echols is a threat out in the secondary and makes tons of great plays against opposing passing attacks. He does a great job utilizing his 6'0 180 frame to provide physical coverage on wide receivers all across the state. Frequently on tape Echols is seen blanketing opposing WRs- he doesn't allow for any separation, isn't easily baited, and has great instincts that allow him to quickly read and react to what the opposing receivers and quarterback are doing. Last fall, Echols had one of his best seasons for Central, he ended the year with 34 total tackles (28 solo) and 6 pass breakups while consistently locking down some top-tier receivers all throughout the season. With play like that, offers have followed, and last week Echols dropped some big news regarding his recruitment. In the last few days, Echols decided to commit to West Georgia, giving them a very talented DB in their 2025 class!
