Recruiting News: Five Kansas Athletes Verbally Commit

The Coffeyville Bruiser is currently ranked No. 14 overall and verbally committed to play for the Missouri Tigers. Jones is a freakish athlete who likes to hit people. He is versatile enough to play along the defensive line or as a linebacker.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='570192' first='Ashton' last='Moore']</strong>, LB, 6'0”, 185, Louisburg</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Louisburg's Moore announced his verbal commitment to Kansas State. The linebacker I currently ranked No. 20 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas. Moore is a versatile athlete who raced up 107 total tackles as a junior. He also accounted for over 1,000 yards of total offense and scored 17 touchdowns.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1159895' first='James' last='MacKinney'],</strong> ATH, 6'4”, 230, Salina Central</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>MacKinney announced today that he has verbally committed to the University of Sioux Falls (SD). The Cougars are a Division II program playing in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Salina Central Mustang athlete is currently ranked No. 41 overall. The Storm play in the American Rivers Conference at the Division III level. Moore is a positional receiver who made 54 catches as a junior. He verbally committed to Buena Vista University this past week. The Beavers play Division III football and the campus is located in Storm Lake. Iowa.
