NOS 7v7 Summer League Observation Notes.

For the second straight year NOS Elite, an offseason developmental football program, has brought together high school teams and club teams from all over New England to compete in a 4 week summer league. Teams play 12 games plus playoffs. The league keeps track of stats and gives out weekly top performers every week. This year it has teams from New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In this article I will feature 5 prospects that stood out to me on the day.    Phillips Exeter ‘25||Hudson, NH||Nickel/OLB||6'2/215lbs||3.4 GPA||Coach-Panos Voulgaris (978) 697-5581||email-tfenderson24@lacademy.edu   [player_tooltip player_id='384333' first='Tavian' last='Fenderson'] is a Fordham committ that will be at Phillips Exeter Academy this fall. His height and weight definitely check out in person. He is every bit of the 215 pounds and measures out at 6'2." This kid was no stranger to the endzone on offense hauling in 5 touchdowns in three games. On offense, he lined up mainly as an outside receiver and on Defense he lined up at Safety. Tavian possesses great ball skills on offense. Hence, a big reason why he led the league in touchdowns after week 1. On defense, he possesses excellent read and reaction skills. He was seen breaking hard on the ball multiple times, breaking up passes with his big athletic physical frame. This was my first time coming across this kid at any event and I was absolutely blown away with this kid and his playmaking ability on both sides of the ball. He has the ability to make you miss and take it the distance. He mainly lined up as a running back next to the quarterback in shotgun situations along with taking some snaps in the slot on offense. Jalen is a rising underclassman that can play on both sides of the ball and make plays wherever you put him. I can see him also being a dangerous punt returner with the type of elusive, fast, athletic skills he possesses. On defense, he finished with a league leading 2 interceptions. Jalen is a ball hawk. His acceleration is one quality you see that stands out on both sides of the ball. This kid is exciting to watch. Offensively, he lined up all over the field but mainly at slot receiver. He caught everything thrown at him. He has a strong physical frame to go with a set of strong hands. Made several contested catches with defenders draped all over him. After, Week 1, Pop finished in second place in the league with 8 receptions. He also finished tied for 3rd in the league in touchdowns with three. On defense he was lined up at Safety and showed off his ability to make plays on that side of the ball as well. He plays with a ton of passion and energy even in this type of 7v7 setting. He finished the week off in first place for touchdowns tallying up 5 in three games. Jaden was a force all day working the middle of the field all three games. He has a long Athletic and lean build. He has playmaking ability to go up in the air an high point the ball. Has an excellent catch radius and he is a very crafty route runner. He has a big fall season coming that will dictate where he ends up playing football at the college level. He finished in fifth place amongst quarterbacks after week 1 with 6 touchdown passes. Jayden has grown since the last time i seen him and seems to be really sprouting up and filling out. He looked great all day completing passes in tight windows, and throwing guys open down the field on a few deep balls. He has a quick release and a very strong base to throw from. He also was seen showing off his talents as a dual threat scrambling on a few plays for big yardage. Another prospect that will likely begin to gain interest from colleges this fall.
