ABERDEEN, SD-- We take one last lap around Dacotah Bank Stadium with the Northern State prospect camp a couple Saturdays ago. This last list features 13 prospects mostly in the 2025 class, but a couple 2026s that stood out in Aberdeen. The 2025s feature some that have been heavily offered in the NSIC, but of course our bread and butter at PRZ Dakotas is find those diamonds in the rough for those NAIA and D3 schools out there too. We say goodbye to Aberdeen, and my favorite wings in America (Circus Wings) as we rattle off the last of our Wolves prospect standouts.

Consistently developing is a great way to describe what I saw out of Maple Valley 2025 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='825394' first='Tee' last='Sylling'] at the Northern State prospect camp. It seems to be the case at every camp this summer I have seen Tee at he finds another versatile skillset that has shown development since my last live eval. In Aberdeen, that skillset was his change of direction. Some of Tee's NSIC offers have been at quarterback, some at linebacker, but what holds true with this young man is he has vivid attention to detail on what that coaching staff gives him for feedback, and shows off his outstanding work ethic to grow his game with that coaching. I felt Tee's poise has grown this summer working from the pocket as well, and that showed true that by the end of the summer this young man is right where he should be to have a excellent senior season for the Raiders. I will be excited to find out where our Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine QB MVP ends up in the coming months.

Connor is a 2025 wide receiver that I was waiting to get further on my radar this summer and that time came at Northern State. He showed off sound persistence with his route-running as you can quickly see the track background fly out when watching his reps. Not only is Connor effective with his change of direction, there is plenty of pure instinct that comes with his COD that certainly would appeal at the next-level as a slot receiver. It was also apparent that Connor has a sudden twitch of burst almost immediately after receiving the ball in his hands in Indy reps and 1v1s. The 2025 WR prospect out of Yankton, might not have gotten a NSIC offer yet this summer, but man, would he be one I would love to see how his fall tape winds up as I could certainly see one arise at that time and if not, some NAIA school in the Northstar or GPAC is going to get a steal.

Another linebacker that caught my attention in Aberdeen, was Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine alum Evan Gray of Brandon Valley. The mix of a great motor and instinctive athletic movement with his change of direction struck a chord with me at Northern State. Evan struck me with his violent first step that also has the pre-snap recognition with timing on when to put the pedal to the floor as I felt throughout camp in Aberdeen, matched up nicely to the game tape he has out there. Brandon Valley has always done well with their linebacking core that is slightly undersized, as Evan to me is another one that some schools should go outside the measurables for as I think there is a high upside with what this young man can do to grow in pass coverage.

Casey impressed me from the early eye test taking a look at his lower body length, which speaks volumes why he came into Aberdeen as a safety that compressed well-versed athleticism from the Wolves propsect camp. His footwork also stuck out to me, as his strides mixed with his agility showed off some sound reps that I watched a couple Saturdays ago. On tape, Casey shows off great versatility as a free safety at the next-level due to his pre-snap knowledge especially in pass coverage and all around, shows great instinctive vision to know exactly where the ball is going in the backfield. He certainly would be a great D2 fit in the NSIC or the RMAC in my eyes.

Daniel was likely one of my favorite 2025 linebackers I got to watch from an instincts perspective in Aberdeen, as this young man showed off every ounce of it during the reps I watched a couple Saturdays ago. What also makes that note impressive, is Daniel has yet to scratch the surface of the linebacker position at the college-level so I cannot wait to see how he develops positionally at that spot as no doubt his football IQ was very present at the Northern State prospect camp. The tape shows Daniel as a prospect that has an outstanding first step and certainly shows off the sideline to sideline motor that shows off plenty of finish you would want in your college linebacking core. Super surprised how under the radar this young man is at the end of July on his recruiting trail.

Keagyn was another prospect in the trenches that popped out during 1v1s from my eyes at the Northern State prospect camp. He showed off the fluidity that he has in his hands and showed off good footwork for the duration of the reps I got to watch too. I also got a chance to see how coachable this young man was in Aberdeen as I thought from camp start to camp end he showed off a great level of development in his skillsets. On tape, I feel Keagyn shows off more fire with his first step and you can see what I saw at camp with the fluid depth of his hands, as he pulls off swiftly off his release. He is one that I believe should have more D2 attention in my eyes.

Lincoln is a linebacker that I felt had some of the best instincts for tracking the ball that I witnessed in the linebacker group. The 2026 prospect from Dell Rapids St. Mary, was a constant presser downhill during the horse drill and I loved how well-versed his pursuit angles to the ball were. He was not the biggest linebacker we saw in attendance, but man the physicality of this young man showed getting off his blocks and processes to me like a linebacker I am sure I have seen on tape that can get from sideline to sideline quickly as a linebacker with a great football IQ that I hope to continue to watch grow for the Cardinals in the coming years. He certainly looks like one that can play on Saturdays in my eyes in the 2026 class.

Rylan is another prospect in our Part II standouts from the Northern State prospect camp that has been a common name on my camp trail, but positionally struck a new chord at a new position in Aberdeen. I have seen Rylan commonly at OL and TE this summer, but the upside I saw with the defensive line, might have taken the cake for where Rylan could end up at the next-level. I was impressed with how well he picked up new concepts and techniques brought by the Northern State staff and put them in play, as it felt it only took Rylan a couple reps to get comfortable with something new, which is just a credit to how coachable this young man truly is. Rylan will be one that the bulk of the NSIC schools are going to fight over due to all the versatility he showed off this summer at a handful of camps.

A XL linebacker that was brand new to my radar was linebacker Carter Hinsz of Mobridge-Pollock who put together a solid day with the reps I watched at Northern State. Carter showed great attention to detail with his fluidity to the ball to attack the hip during Indy drills showing off the athleticism that has been flying under the radar. The tape shows off Carter as a barreling middle linebacker that with his vision, flies to the ball using good and growing pursuit angles as one that carries a big motor and certainly is one that you will want to account for in blocking schemes. Carter is certainly one that I believe has great upside and can play scholarship football at the next-level.

Ryan could be described as a quiet giant during the Northern State prospect camp, as one that dominated his competition during 1v1s. The 2025 OL prospect from Detroit Lakes showed off great pad-level in his reps as I could tell he took the coaching he was given, his hands fit very well to constantly drive leverage in my eyes. This young man also comes with a mean streak in every punch he landed in Aberdeen as you could tell that in a game-like setting that is where this kid takes his physicality up a handful of notches. No surprise, another offensive linemen sleeper out of Detroit Lakes that deserves more NSIC attention.

Another excellent camp performance this summer from one of our summer stockrisers which is Sioux Falls O'Gorman 2026 defensive back Hunter Cox. From mid-summer camps to final-summer camps, the instinct that Hunter plays with has stood out mightily as his attention to detail thrived during Indy Drills at the Northern State prospect camp. Hunter was one of the best defensive backs in the group at attacking the hip, as he sored at the opportunity with the continuing sudden burst we have gotten to watch this summer. Cannot wait to get this young man on my 2026 rankings board in the coming weeks.

Macklin showed off a slightly undersized linebacker that showed off to be quite wiry while getting to the point of attack. I was intrigued how quickly he was able to open his hips and track the ball downhill. He was one towards the end of the quick that I felt was one of the most effective from the coaching he was given from the Northern State staff, as he put the skillsets he was taught to reps very quickly which is a contribution to this young man's football IQ. Still waiting on his first offer, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Macklin as a great fit in the GPAC.

Although I got Ethan on the tail end of my live-evals, I still could see the good upside brewing by this 6'2 185 pound quarterback from Redfield as a 2026 prospect. Ethan showed off some good touch throws on intermediate route that won my eyes with his timing lining up well with his wide receivers routes. Where he can develop is with his eye discipline, as I felt at times Ethan was overselling where he was going with football but I did notice by near the end of camp with coaching from the Northern State staff that his reads with his vision got slightly cleaner in the final reps. He will be a 2026 quarterback name to add to our 2026 list of gunslingers for sure, as Ethan already has the ideal frame coaches want at the next-level.
