North Port Gets That Winning Feeling

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over the past five seasons – heading into last year, North Port's football program had finished 13-41. No silver lining at all.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When head coach <strong>Garen Belser</strong> got the Bobcats out to a 5-1 start last season, and started to change the culture of a program that frankly had no direction – people began to talk.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What the Bobcats were looking for last season was the first winning season in program history since starting varsity football in 2002. They accomplished that with 6-4 finish.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Belser, a graduate of North Port, experienced the tough times firsthand.
