WEST PALM BEACH – It was a year ago when [player_tooltip player_id='1317660' first='Teddy' last='Hoffman'] began to grab the attention of high school football fans in south Florida.

When then Florida International University defensive back coach Demarcus Van Dyke watched him play during a 7-on-7 tournament when his Boca Raton St. Andrew's team competed in the event, he was sold.

Hoffman immediately jumped on the radar screen as colleges and universities started to pay attention.

After the season ended, Hoffman made his way over to Delray Beach Atlantic, and on Saturday at the ESPN West Palm Beach Treasure Coast/Palm Beach 7-on-7 event at Keiser University, the 6-0, 175-pounder was virtually unstoppable at receiver and led the Eagles to the team title.

For his play all day, Hoffman, who committed to attend Appalachian State University, was named as the Most Valuable Player in the 16-team event.

Head Coach Jamelle Murray and his team, expected to be one of the best in south Florida came out on top with an exciting win against West Palm Beach Cardinal Newman in the final.

In addition to Hoffman, Atlantic also received key performances from senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='828984' first='Lincoln' last='Graf'], junior receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1752378' first='James' last='Jones'], junior receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1209091' first='Kemari' last='Walcott'] and senior free safety Shamar Scruggs.

While Atlantic and Cardinal Newman competed for the title, the other final four teams also included Lantana Santaluces and Fort Pierce Westwood.
