The talent level in the state of Arkansas has continued to improve on the gridiron. Head coach Richard Rideout has done an excellent job of preparing the future stars of Arkansas football. So, with a nod to the past and a look to the future, we are going to highlight several players that have opened eyes in the state of Arkansas. Congratulations are in order for this team that has earned a National Championship!

[player_tooltip player_id='1321129' first='Richard' last='Rideout Jr'].-Running back/Linebacker-2031

Over the years, we have seen how important it is to have players that can fill multiple roles on the team. [player_tooltip player_id='1321129' first='Richard' last='Rideout Jr']. is a player that puts his versatility on display every time he steps on the field. He can shift from the running back to the linebacker spot with ease. On the offensive side of the ball, he finds the rushing lane well and refuses to go down on initial contact. He has the ability to punish opposing defenders. Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, he reads the play and uses his quickness to get to and haul down the ball carrier. Rideout Jr. is a player with a bright future.

[player_tooltip player_id='1321136' first='David' last='Weatherspoon Jr.']-Offensive line/Defensive line-2031

The Natural State has a rich history of producing talented players on the respective lines. Players like Shawn Andrews and Cortez Kennedy have laid the groundwork for the future. The future appears to be in good hands with players like [player_tooltip player_id='1321136' first='David' last='Weatherspoon Jr.'] able to shift from one side of the ball to the other. Looking primarily at the offensive side of the ball. Weatherspoon Jr. is a powerhouse with tremendous quickness. He keeps opposing defenders out of the offensive backfield and keeps his quarterback and running backs clean. He is a player to watch out for over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1321138' first='Tanner' last='Marshall']-Defensive Line-2031

At times, the defensive line is a unit that can get overlooked. Marshall has an impressive combination of speed and strength. He can defeat blocks using a bull rush or get into the backfield using several combination of moves. Marshall does not quit on a play and does a nice job of putting himself in position to make the tackle. He has the versatility to play any of the positions along the defensive front. Marshall has a bright future and is a player to watch out for over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1321126' first='Brantley' last='White']-Wide Receiver-2029

As the passing game continues to be a big emphasis in football, the wide receiver position continues to grow in importance. [player_tooltip player_id='1321126' first='Brantley' last='White'] is a wide receiver that uses his crisp route running to his advantage. He is a player that is difficult to bring down when he breaks into the open field. White has the talent to make opposing defenders miss tackles. He is a wide receiver I expect to see on Friday nights in the future. White is a player to watch out for in the future.

Cam Keller-Quarterback-2029

The state of Arkansas has started to produce quarterbacks that will play on Saturdays in impressive numbers over the past few years. Cam Keller is a signal caller that can pick opposing secondaries apart. He does a nice job of throwing the football with plenty of accuracy. Keller is not afraid to test the opposing secondary with the deep throw down the field. He is a signal caller with a bright future, and he is a player to watch out for over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1321123' first='Jace' last='Boone']-Athlete-2029

Over the years, the more versatile a player is the more valuable he is. [player_tooltip player_id='1321123' first='Jace' last='Boone'] has the athletic ability to play all over the field. [player_tooltip player_id='1321123' first='Jace' last='Boone'] is a player that can line up and be effective on both sides of the ball. He has the speed to get into the second level and will not go down on initial contact. Boone is a playmaker on both sides of the ball. He is a prospect to watch out for over the next few years. He has the potential to do big things on Friday nights.

The bottom line is this Razorback team is an impressive one and I give full credit to the coaches, players, and parents. Over the years, it is easy to overlook just how valuable coaches and parents are and it can get lost in the recruiting process. I want to say a huge congratulations to all involved on bringing home a National Championship! The future is indeed bright!
