Final Dead Week Putting in the Work

The final week of the dead period is coming to a close. In this article, we are going to highlight several prospects that have not slowed down during the dead period. From this point forward, all of the work this offseason will be geared toward preparing for the 2024 football season. Here are several prospects to watch out for over the next few months. Dent identifies the rushing lane quickly and explodes through the hole. He is a running back that will not go down on initial contact. Dent has the speed to break into the second level quickly. Over the past two weeks, Dent has not slowed down one bit and has continued to work on his game on the practice field as well as the lab. Dent is a player to watch out for this upcoming season.   Kalen Simmons-Linebacker-North Little Rock-2028   Over the past few weeks, Kalen Simmons has been putting in the work on the practice fields. Simmons has continued to put in the work in the lab as well as on the field. Simmons has showcased his ability to play on both sides of the ball for North Little Rock. He has spent time working on his speed and coverage ability at the linebacker position. Meanwhile, Simmons has the versatility to see playing time on the offensive side of the ball. Simmons worked on his quickness and agility during the dead period. He is a prospect to watch out for in the future. He is a player that has impressive speed and can shut down one side of the field. Wimberly does a great job of playing the ball while it is in the air. He is a playmaker on either side of the ball and one that was putting in the work on the beach this week. Wimberly is a prospect that has the potential to have another strong season this season. Over the dead period, Archer put work in the lab. Archer was working with performance coaches in Dallas preparing for the upcoming season. Archer is a player to watch out for this upcoming season. Mixon is a prospect to watch out for over the next few years for Elkins.
