It starts up front! Today, I'm looking at some underrated big men in the 2025 class. A few of these prospects have received Division One offers, however, most are flying under the radar from a recruiting standpoint. Some may lack certain criteria, but they make up for it in other ways on tape. Look for this group to be even in better this fall.

Markel Terry, 6'4" 280, Dobie

Terry has good size, he's a highly proficient pass protector, and shows an attitude as a run blocker. He's got clamps for hands & can lock onto his opponent, he can easily reach five techniques on outside zone schemes and has some raw upper body strength that can be tapped into.

Jayden Simmons, 6'3" 310, Elkins

Simmons is flexible and fires out of his stance, he gets his second step in the ground quickly, and punches on a rise. He can drive defenders off the football & displace them ten yards downfield, he has the body control to lock in second-level blocks and takes pride in fishing blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1219041' first='Michael' last='Musquiz'] 6'2" 300, Atascocita

He's on the smaller side from a vertical stature standpoint, but man does this kid play with an edge to him. He's a quick skip puller with smooth lateral agility in pass pro and the ability to reset his hands if his punch misses wide. He plays tackle right now, but projects as a center at the next level.

Keegan Garcia, 6'3" 305, East Central

A center prospect that has the anchor to stall opposing rushes, he's a violent striker and can get out & pull outside of the tackle box. He's always looking for work, he can provide swing value as a guard if in a pickle and has the upper-body strength to provide help if his footwork is late.

Jayden Young, 6'4" 270, Tomball Memorial

Young can bend, he plays with a wide base when driving defenders off the football, and can get out of his stance & pick up speedier rushers off the edge. He's quite athletic for a big man, he can mirror rushers looking to retrace and takes proper angles to the block. Stephen F. Austin got a steal in this young man.

Donnie Jurek III, 6'2" 305, La Vernia

This interior prospect plays angry through the echo of the whistle. Jurek's legs are consistently pumping, allowing for him to move defenders against their will. He can reach outside shade defenders, he keeps his eyes up in pass protection passing along twists, and has great patience with his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='1335489' first='Kenya' last='Taylor'], 6'5" 250, Naaman Forest

Taylor is a tough prospect with raw footwork, impressive grip strength, and the ability to work off double teams & secure second-level blocks. He plays with good leverage, flashes potent hands, and can sustain 1 on 1 blocks on his own.

Kobe Oliver, 6'5" 310, Cedar Hill

Oliver has overwhelming size for most defenders, he's got some pop out of his stance and can slice down against inside slant moves. He's a swift puller and has quality athletic ability; he's still developing from a technical standpoint, but I think there are a ton of tools in his toolbox.
