Dead Week Putting in the Work

The first week of the dead week for high school teams, coaches, and players is in the book. However, the work that prospects have put in is not slowing down one bit. In this article, we are going to highlight several prospects that are putting in the work over the dead period.   [player_tooltip player_id='236139' first='Omarion' last='Robinson']-Defensive Back-Little Rock Parkview-2025   The number one player in the class of 2025 is not slowing down his preparation for the upcoming season one bit. Robinson has excellent range in the defensive secondary. He can close up space very quickly and does a great job of making plays on the ball. Robinson has the ability to take the ball away from opposing wide receivers. He continues to open eyes on the camp circuit. Robinson put on a show at the Rivals Camp. He earned camp MVP honors at the Rivals Challenge. The team that lands him gets a defensive back that can contribute immediately. I look for him to have a strong 2024 football season.   [player_tooltip player_id='335132' first='Talan' last='Williams']-Quarterback-Gentry-2026   The Gentry signal caller had a tremendous 2023 football season and has not slowed down at all this offseason. Williams throws the football with impressive accuracy. Over the weekend, Williams put his accuracy on display at the Ottawa Braves camp. He threw his wide receivers open all weekend and looked comfortable reading the defense. Williams is setting the stage for a strong 2024 season, and he is a player to keep an eye on this season.   [player_tooltip player_id='1316501' first='Kevin' last='Young Jr.']-Running Back-Forrestt City-2026   One team to watch out for this season is Forrestt City. Head coach Reggie Swinton has talented players that are ready to open eyes this season. One prospect that meets that description well is [player_tooltip player_id='1316501' first='Kevin' last='Young Jr.'] He is a versatile player that can line up at the running back or wide receiver spots. Young Jr. does a great job of making plays with the football. He is a difficult player to bring down and will not go down in initial contact. The versatility that he has is going to cause plenty of problems for opposing defenses over the next couple of years. He is a player to watch out for over the next few months.   [player_tooltip player_id='1339524' first='Deontae' last='Clark']-Wide Receiver-Stuttgart-2025   Deonate Clark has had strong outings all summer on the camp circuit. He uses a good mixture of speed and route running to create separation from opposing defenders. Clark will work his way open for his quarterback and make big plays in the passing game. He is dangerous in the open field. Clark has the ability to make opposing defensive backs miss tackles. The Stuttgart wide receiver opened plenty of eyes at the Henderson State camp over the weekend. In the process, he earned a scholarship offer from Henderson State. Clark currently holds offers from Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Henderson State. He is a player to watch this upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='393516' first='Parker' last='Nix']-Quarterback-Rogers-2026   [player_tooltip player_id='393516' first='Parker' last='Nix'] is a quarterback that has impressed me at several camps this offseason. Nix possesses impressive arm strength. He is not afraid to test the opposing secondary with the deep throw. Nix attended the Football University camp over the weekend. He made good decisions with the football all weekend. In the process, he earned an invitation to the National Combine a little later in the year. Nix is setting the stage for a strong football season this upcoming season.
