After a great holiday weekend, we're back analyzing some of the top prospects from around Texas. Today, I decided to look at which prospects from 6A District 17 are flying under the radar. A few prospects listed have picked up offers, but as a whole, this group is quite under-recruited. Keep an eye on these guys this fall and beyond to see if they pick up offers in the future.

TE: Chris Degrate, 6'4" 215, Cy-Fair, 2025

A lengthy tight end with the frame to fill out over the next four years. He's an easy hands-catcher with make-you-miss ability on quick game concepts and excellent concentration on throws of twenty yards plus.

OL: Koy Faecher, 6'4" 270, Cy-Fair, 2025

Koy has a high football IQ, he keeps his eyes up to pass off twists and stunts & has the raw strength to overpower opposing down linemen. He can get out and pull on the perimeter and has the foot quickness to retrace laterally in pass protection.

DT: [player_tooltip player_id='1652970' first='Marlon' last='Cook'], 6" 270, Cypress Creek, 2026

Cook is extremely twitchy and was quite productive as a sophomore finishing with 7 sacks and 17 tackles for loss. He's got a great first step, he fires off the ball low, he can slip through opposing double teams, and is a disruptive force in the game.

EDGE: James Harris, 6'3" 225, Cypress Falls, 2027

This is a name people in Texas will soon know as Harris was a varsity contributor as a freshman. He showed a relentless motor, the ability to retrace in his rush lane if he's worked too far upfield, and the ability to get skinny through tight down blocks.

OL: Elijah Muhammad, 6'4" 290, Cypress Ridge, 2025

Elijah has the size, quickness, and bend to develop into a really good offensive line prospect. If he can show more finishing power on film, I think more offers will come soon.

OL: Jayden Williams, 6" 240, Cypress Ridge, 2027

Another freshman who saw time on varsity and excelled when given his shot. Jayden is undersized right now for the position, but man does he play with a chip on his shoulder. He's got the grip strength to lock on & maintain blocks in the run game and has the foot speed to pick up speedy rushers off the edge.

WR: [player_tooltip player_id='1146482' first='Carson' last='Wall'] 5'10" 175, Memorial, 2025

A burner who was flat-out dynamic at times last year. Carson is vastly underrated in my eyes, he's so hard to bring down in space, he's got the speed to split two defenders, and can set up an offense in plus territory as a return man. It's my belief that more FBS schools should be in on this kid.

LB: Isaac Richardson, 6'1" 180, Memorial, 2026

On tape, Richardson is an instinctive second-level defender who plays with good eye discipline and can work his way through traffic to hunt down a ball carrier. He needs to add some weight, but he's got a knack for being around the football and can produce big plays against both the run and pass.

QB: Aaron DeLeon, 6" 185, Stratford, 2025

Aaron knows where the soft spots in zone coverage are and how to exploit them, he has enough arm talent & touch to stretch the field vertically and is a dynamic runner when he chooses to tuck it and run. He glides up & around the pocket with potential pressure emerging and his throws are consistently placed on the numbers.

TE: Colby Hall, 6'3" 235, Jersey Village, 2025

Hall is fearless as a receiver and has no hesitations about venturing into the middle of the field. He's got sticky hands, is a well-tooled blocker and his size & strength provide major YAC potential.

WR: Dinh Huynh, 5'10" 170, Jersey Village, 2025

Dinh is slippery after the catch, he has the vision to spot defenders over pursuing and will cut back against the grain. He has enough speed to separate from defensive backs, he can line up in the backfield and carry the football between the tackles and runs with good forward body lean as a ball carrier.

WR: Warren Wilkins, 6'1" 170, Jersey Village, 2025

Wilkins is another prospect who can blow a game wide-open as a return man. He's got smooth change of direction with no wasted steps, he knows how to manipulate defenders with running angles and will get after defenders on the outside as a blocker.
