There are some studs on defense in Mississippi. We know some dogs that you need to get your eyes in. Some of these guys have been working really hard to get their name out there. Let's check it out.

[player_tooltip player_id='624053' first='Daylin' last='Page']

Page is a stud that knows how to get around on the football field. This young man is an edge player that has committed to LA Tech. Page has been working really hard to learn how to use his length more. He is a 4.7 guy that I think can line up at linebacker. It was only right that we raise him up through the rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='1127612' first='Korbin' last='Ashmore']

Ashmore is another dog that we were able to get our eyes on this summer. We really saw him grinding trying to earn his recognition. Ashmore is known for being a real run stopper. You will not move the ball in his area. This offseason was dedicated to him really trying to improve in the pass rushing game. Keep your eyes on him this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='920471' first='Tayquon' last='McKinney']

A lot of people think that McKinney could possibly be a safety on the next level. He has been clocked at a 4.48 in the 40 and he has good hips. Last season, he recorded 23 sacks from his stand up defensive end position. You cannot not mention the 2025 class in Mississippi and not mention him. He is expected to play the linebacker position more this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='614424' first='Cameron' last='Craft']

Craft is a linebacker from Hattiesburg that we like a lot. Craft does not mind coming downhill to make a tackle. He is a player that we know can move around in zone coverage. We also like how is able to shed blocks and still make plays. Craft could easily have more offers coming in this season. His strength in the linebacker core is a great plus for their defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1351218' first='Ekamryn' last='Smith']

This is a safety known for bringing the pain. He is a defensive back from Noxubee that does not mind coming up to make hits. He gets players to the ground. There will be no playing around in his area. He loves to get face to face with runners. Smith recently popped up on our radar, but he is a player we will definitely be keeping up with this season. His film was impressive.

[player_tooltip player_id='920458' first='Demarcus' last='Baker']

Baker is a defensive back from Hattiesburg that we like a lot. It's his confidence that stands out on the field. He is a guy that can be a shut down corner. He also has the finesse to be a pest at running back. This young man is going to have a big season. There is a great chance of him seeing a lot more offers coming in. He has great hips to go along with good speed. Baker is also light on his feet when changing directions.

[player_tooltip player_id='452329' first='Radarron' last='Leech II']

Leech is a guy that is going to be a real plug in the middle. He makes it hard for guys to move him out the way when they are trying to run the football. He is a stout strong football player that holds his ground on running plays. Leech knows how to use those hands to get the advantage on offensive linemen. He also knows how to use his strength and IQ to help his teammates make plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='653019' first='Davarrius' last='Hairston Jr']

Hairston is a stud that has long arms. He is a defensive back from Starkville that we are hearing may be playing a little bit of of offense this season. He has been known to be a cornerback, but last year we were able to see him step up and play safety. This is going to be a big season for him. Expect him to be making big hits. Expect to see him breaking on balls with precision. He is a polished defensive back.
