Part II is here! We're looking at under-the-radar recruits in 6A District 5. There's a ton of hidden gems in this district and we decided to split it up into two separate articles. Remember, that some of the prospects listed have FBS-level potential, while others could be steals for someone on the lower levels of college football. Regardless of their level of play, each one has potential and could make an impact at the next level.

Hebron

RB: Ayson Jones, 5'7" 170, 2026

A smaller yet physical back that can squeak through small seams and muscle his way through contact between the tackles. Ayson has a strong stiff arm, is patient allowing for his blocks to set up in front of him, and uses instant burst to get north & south. He can make an impact as a receiving threat out of the backfield and has the vision to put his foot in the dirt & bounce a run outside the tackles.

RB: [player_tooltip player_id='1228426' first='Marcus' last='Johnson'] 5'10" 175, 2025

A slippery back with balance, acceleration, and fairly good speed once he gets the engine revved up. He's a jitterbug-type runner whose legs never stop rumbling, he has some deceptive power behind him that will surprise defenders and shows nifty footwork at the second level.

Marcus

TE: Jackson Morris, 6'3" 210, 2025

A reliable receiving threat who also isn't afraid to get dirty as a blocker between the tackles. Morris is a natural hands catcher who hauls in passes away from his body, he eats up quick game concepts and is quite sticky as a blocker once he latches on.

WR: Rhett Garza, 5'10" 160, 2025

On tape, Garza has a diverse set of releases to defeat press coverage, he's a strong route runner and shows the strength to hold the line against pestering defensive backs. He's got good speed, he can track the deep ball over the shoulder and has enough wiggle to make defenders miss after the catch.

Little Elm

OL: Joshua Govan, 6'2" 270, 2025

Govan is a little undersized from a vertical stature standpoint, but man does he play nasty and have some serious pop behind his punch. This kid is willing to put his whole body on the line, he can drop his hips & strike on a rise and is extremely fluid in slide-pass protection schemes

DB: Peyton Turman, 6'2" 180, 2025

A longer safety prospect who has an easy pedal, good reactionary skills, and fights to keep his inside leverage in man. He eats up short-intermediate routes, is comfortable coming up in run support within the box, and has good open-field tackle skills.
