Today, I'm looking at which prospects are flying under the radar in 6A District 5. There's plenty of talent in this district and it'll take me two separate articles to cover it all. Remember, that some of the prospects listed have FBS-level potential, while others could be steals for someone on the lower levels of college football.

Coppell

DB: [player_tooltip player_id='581100' first='Scott' last='Fishpaw'], 6' 185, 2025

A ball-hawking safety prospect that stays over the top of routes in zone and breaks upwards on the football. Scott does a great job mid-pointing two targets, he has the leaping ability to go up & attack the football at its highest point and is a firm tackler when asked to come down from the third level.

Denton Braswell

WR: [player_tooltip player_id='1420760' first='Christopher' last='Johnson'], 5'10" 160, 2026

Johnson is a dynamic wide receiver prospect that can take the top off just about any defense. He can make defenders miss in a phone booth, can cutback all the way across the grain for extended YAC, and has impressive contact balance after the catch. I think he'll be one of 6A's breakout stars this season.

Denton Guyer

WR: [player_tooltip player_id='284154' first='Corbin' last='Glasco'], 5'9" 170, 2026

A shifty slot receiver that is quite slippery after the catch. Don't let his size fool you, Corbin plays much bigger than his listed height and has shown serious power with the ball in his hands. He's got great initial burst out of his stance, impressive speed, and is an explosive kick returner.

Lewisville

EDGE: [player_tooltip player_id='1270978' first='Rhyan' last='Sewell'], 6'1" 225, 2025

Sewell is exceptionally strong at the point of attack and can bull-rush down linemen into the backfield. He's quick off the snap, disruptive, has loose hips, and plays with a consistently low pad level. His hands are well placed right on the breastplate, and his punch has some serious pop that will cause blockers' heads to snap back.

Flower Mound

WR: [player_tooltip player_id='1492276' first='Carter' last='Massey'], 6'3" 185, 2026

A surehanded z receiver with production behind him (1,007 yards & 5 touchdowns in 2023), the ability to hold the line, and the body control to work back to the football. He's got quick feet to defeat press coverage, terrific concentration through contested catches, and knows how to step on a defensive back's toes to get them out of their backpedal and into a lateral run.
