Prep Redzone is scheduled to release updated rankings on July 2, so athletes still have time to update me on their recruitment by messaging me on X @KSScoutDeck. I will have multiple scouting reports in July updating recruiting news, and I intend to scout two events in early July.

Here is a look at five Kansas prospects who have committed or been offered scholarships from Division I programs.

[player_tooltip player_id='570288' first='DaSaahn' last='Brame'], TE, 6'6”, 230, Derby, '25 (Oregon)

Brame the top-ranked athlete in the Kansas Class of 2025 announced his college of choice on June 29, verbally committing to the Oregon Ducks. Brame selected Oregon over Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. Brame is a physical pass-catcher who can create all kinds of mismatches for opposing defenses. He caught 46 balls for the Panthers last season gaining 900-plus yards and catching 13 touchdowns. In a class stacked with tight ends, Goodland's [player_tooltip player_id='733209' first='Linkon' last='Cure'] is now the highest-ranked athlete in the Sunflower State yet to commit. The Cowboys tight end is scheduled to announce his college of choice tomorrow afternoon.

[player_tooltip player_id='676467' first='Derek' last='Morgan'], QB, 6'2”, 190, Eisenhower, '25 (Lehigh)

Eisenhower quarterback Morgan announced today that he has verbally committed to Lehigh University. Morgan threw for 1,980 yards for the Tigers as a junior. He connected with Eisenhower receivers for 30 touchdowns. He also rushed for four touchdowns and 302 yards. Lehigh is an FCS program in Pennsylvania that plays in the Patriot League.

[player_tooltip player_id='1228469' first='Steel' last='Schomaker'], DB, 6'3”, 200, Valley Center, ‘25

Schomaker is a hard-hitting safety who has been all over the camp scene this summer. He has multiple offers from Division I and Division II schools. The Valley Center prospect has offers from Western Illinois, Augustana, Missouri Southern, and Nebraska-Kearney. He has participated in camps at Iowa State, Kansas State, Pittsburg State and Northwest Oklahoma.

[player_tooltip player_id='733507' first='Hyrum' last='Vaeono'], DL, 6'3”, 285, Free State, ‘25

Free State defensive tackle Vaeono has received an offer from FCS program Illinois State. He is currently ranked No. 92 overall in the Prep Redzone rankings. He is a space eater along the defensive line and is effective against the run and pass. He finished his junior season with 34 total tackles. Six of those tackles resulted in lost yardage and he recorded two quarterback sacks.

[player_tooltip player_id='442620' first='Connor' last='Bohon'], QB, 6'4”, 195, Mill Valley, ‘25

Bohon is a prospect who has been born and raised in the winning program at Mill Valley. He parlayed an impressive showing at the Lindenwood Mega Camp into an offer from the FCS program Butler University. Bohon rushed for 626 yards and 14 touchdowns last season. He only attempted 37 passes as a junior so I am sure some schools will look at him at quarterback, while other college coaches may want him to switch positions.
