Smith was a bright spot for Merritt Island in 2023. He finished with 54 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, and a fumble recovery. Smith is a linebacker/edge player who shows some range off the edge, flashes the ability to time his blitz, and has the ability to use his hands to fight off blockers and get to the ball. Smith is also a two-time state qualifier in wrestling.

Nilsson is one of the most versatile defensive ends in the Volusia County area. He can play tight end at the next level or defensive end. As a tight end, he's a rugged blocker who plays nasty. On the defensive side of the ball, he finished with 47 tackles, six tackles for loss, and 14 sacks! He's an all-around prospect who shows pass rush ability, physicality, and heavy hands to rock back blockers. He's a smart player who doesn't get caught out of position and plays with good short-area agility and quickness. Coaches need to take notice of this athlete quickly. Nilsson picked up his first offer from St. Andrew's University on May 16th.

MacMullan is a first-team All-State prospect that I believe will have a big season in 2024. He played a big part on offense and defense and helped lead the Pirates to the semifinals of the state playoffs last season. He finished with 49 tackles, five tackles for loss, and six sacks. On offense, he had 20 receptions for 277 yards and three touchdowns. MacMullan has a lot of length and a big wingspan. He shows speed rush abilities to turn the corner and has a high motor, good awareness, and closing burst. On offense, he shows natural hands. He can move out in space, breaks tackles, and runs with authority with the ball in his hands. He's an intriguing prospect that I think will double his production this season easily.

He demonstrates some ability to get to the second level, which is very impressive for a player of his size.
