The Nurre faced some of the top competition in Southwest Ohio and held his own. At 6'3 200 the 2026 put together strong testing numbers (9'4- broad jump, 4.84-40). Grant threw the ball well. He had some perfectly placed deep balls and showed the ability to throw into windows as well. I expect Grant to have a strong camp season followed fall camp and season that will start to bring strong interest his way.

2027 CB [player_tooltip player_id='1297756' first='Cavin' last='McDowell'] (Teays Valley) 5'10 160- McDowell was probably the top Ohio DB I saw in the late session. He consistently found himself matching up against the top receivers in 1v1's. Calvin has good length and a slender build. He's wiry strong. He not only didn't shy away from competition, he welcomed it. Calvin is comfortable playing press man coverage. At the line he's patient and plays with sound technique. He has loose hips and is able to fluidly transition from his back pedal to turn and run. I'm excited to where things go for this talented corner.

2025 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1297757' first='Chandler' last='Shields'] (Middletown) 6'1 160-Shields had a great day especially in 1v1's. At 6'1, he has a long slender frame. He might have hadChandler put on a route clinic setting up defensive backs and using explosive breaks to create major separation from defenders. When the ball was in the air he attacked it. Because of his route running and ability to create separation in short spaces, I like Shields at the slot position at the college level. His recruitment could really take off this summer if he continues to put up performances like he did at the Mega Camp.

His pairing of length and athleticism is definitely plus. When the ball was thrown to him, he showed good hands and caught the ball away from his frame. If Morelli can continue working on getting more explosive, I think he definitely has a chance to play at the next level.

Joe did a good job of sprinting to his spots and then using explosive breaks to create separation. He was patient in how he worked and when the ball came his way, he made the play. With the talent available at a school like Saint Ed's Saffold has had to wait his turn to see the field. This fall he should get his first shot at making plays at the varsity level. He looks ready, and I'm excited to see what he can do.
