New on the Prep Redzone WI Radar

We are always on the look out for more and more student athletes to give coverage to. Because of that, our list of who we want to add to the rankings during our next updates is always growing. Recently we have seen a strong surge of names to those lists, so today I want to shine the spotlight on them before we get to putting them in the rankings. So let's turn on the Hudl and see what these playmakers have to offer.    The 6' 185 lbs DB out of DeForest has started the spring/summer off on a good note with offers from Sioux Falls and Duluth before the camp season got underway. More could be on the way as camps are getting underway because the tape shows an athlete that has college talent. Derek very quickly checks the versatility box for the safety position. He excels playing over the top using range and instincts to make plays deep downfield. The 2025 can cover ground very quickly. Derek is also an agile athlete that can play in the slot and make the quick cuts to stick tight to his man through routes. Klein also has great ball skills to create turnovers. Derek also does a great job as a tackler. He will fire downhill to stuff the run and can be trusted as the last lien of defense downfield. Get eyes on this kid this summer!        Daniel is an exciting hidden gem. The 6'2" 200 lbs edge defender/WR is an impressive athlete that made highlight reel plays on both sides of the ball. On offense we see Daniel present a big target radius for his QB. He has soft hands and the ability to quickly adjust to the ball. We see him play with solid body control that gives him the chance to run smooth routes. After the catch, Daniel flips the switch from smooth athlete to physical runner. He makes DBs earn their tackles in the open field. On defense we see a surprising amount of power. He can transition the quick get off into a solid bull rush. Daniel uses his length to create separation and lateral quickness to help him disengage and make the tackle. Daniel is an all around smooth, fluid athlete with quickness and the physicality when needed to play at the next level. He recently earned an offer from Grinnell.      I'm very excited to cover Brooks over these next two seasons. It looks like he is in a great position to step into the varsity starting role this fall. The sophomore shined at the JV level, standing out from the crowd like you hope and expect a top prospect to do. the 2023 film shows an athletic, tall, and raw QB prospect with some exciting tools starting to shine through. One of those is that the left handed passer does a great job of moving within the pocket to avoid pressure or buy time. Brooks has a naturally strong arm that shines in his highlights. We see him easily hit targets in stride 40 yards downfield. More importantly, Brooks has great control over where he puts the ball. His accuracy will be huge for him as he makes the jump to varsity. Get on this kid early on.      Boden is an electric playmaker from northern Wisconsin. He finished his junior season with a school record 766 receiving yards, plus 664 yards on the ground. Those efforts led him to be All Region at WR plus his dominant play at DB helped him earn All Region at that position as well. The first major takeaway from the tape is Teal's elite speed. He is almost hitting 23 mph top speed, and you see it on tape as he simply pulls away in the open field with his straight line speed. That speed is the key to his success out wide. DBs are unable to run with him. Boden also has good hands and is aggressive at the catch. On defense, the 2025 is able to play the single high safety role and get sideline to sideline as he quickly reads and reacts to the QB. The ball skills flash on that side of the ball too. Boden is a mismatch athlete and offers a lot of position versatility. He currently holds an offer from Dordt.      Another far north standout that is making an early name for himself is 2027 LB [player_tooltip player_id='1335714' first='Tucker' last='Brock']. Tucker has built up a strong, stout frame at 6' 195 lbs. A frame that has hit a 300 lbs bench press and 405 lbs squat this offseason. Tucker played on the JV team in 2023 where he locked down the middle of the field. He flashed his lateral agility and ability to play through traffic on his way to making tackles. The 2027 is able to keep himself clean of blocks moving between the tackles. He is also a sound tackler who ends forward progression when he makes contact. Brock did a decent job with his recognition and triggering downhill against the run game, but as those areas improve he is going to become even more dominant. Brock is definitely a young talent to keep an eye on over the coming years.      I came away impressed with the play of 2025 DB Lucas Hamilton of Waunakee. He is not the biggest prospect at 5'9" 165 lbs, but that doesn't impact him on tape. Lucas has quick feet and the balance to be able to change direction or cut on a dime. He has a smooth backpedal that keeps things in front of him. To go along with Lucas' short area burst is his impressive long speed. That speed paired with a high motor gave us some impressive plays including an across the field chase down tackle. The closing speed when he comes out of his backpedal gets him to the WR and in position to break up the pass right on time. Don't sleep on the 2025 CB.
