Nassau County Large School Prospects To Keep Track Of This Summer

Nassau County has some very talented prospects. It includes some up-and-coming players you need to know this offseason. Here are 8 prospects that have been flying under the radar that could make some serious noise this year.    Glen Cove has some exciting seniors to watch and Satchell is one of them. He is listed at 6'2 and the lengthy receiver displayed some great hands last season. He made some grabs from the slot and then he showed off the burners. Satchell has some underrated acceleration, as the Glen Clove product had some big plays last year after the catch and in the return game. With what Glen Cove returns, I could see Satchell having a great senior campaign.     I've written about [player_tooltip player_id='1142272' first='Tyler' last='Villalta'] a ton, but his younger brother Cole will be one of the top players in the county this season. Cole Villalta is in the class of 2026 and he has a great offseason so far. He plays on a 7v7 team called Hypefam and he has looked excellent. Villalta is listed at 6 foot 3 and he's proven to be a mismatch for the corners he's went against. Villalta has been great as a red zone threat but has shown the speed to be a deep threat and come away with some contested catches. He will quickly become be one of [player_tooltip player_id='1213149' first='Joey' last='Diesso']'s favorite targets for this season.     Silva transferred to Long Beach from Cardinal Hayes and he had an impactful varsity debut as a sophomore for Long Beach. Silvia plays both QB and defensive back for the Marines. We saw his dual threat ability last year at quarterback. He is one of the most athletic players in Nassau Conference 2 and I'm expecting Long Beach to have a lot of designed quarterback runs to get Silvia out into space. He showed off his speed and vision in a great performance against Carey. At defensive back, Silva came downhill and laid some big hits. He is a true athlete that will have a breakout type of season this year.     Syosset made a county title appearance last year and their passing offense was a big reason why. Marvin had a successful junior campaign with 34 catches for 578 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also plays some defensive back and recorded an interception last year. Marvin was a great receiver for the Braves and was dangerous in open space. He racked up a ton of yards after the catch last season. A couple of his touchdown grabs last year were tough snags to make, featuring toe taps and body adjustments to haul in these passes. Marvin will be a receiver to watch this offseason.     Oceanside brings back a lot of players and they are bound to have some high expectations this year. One of the top lineman in Nassau County Conference 1 is on their side. Dylan Kakaerko will be a force for the Sailors. The athletic tackle moves very well in  space. He was violent and a great blocker for this Sailors run attack. He's also one of the faster lineman I've seen in this division and was a great lead blocker along with his speed. I got to see him at the Elite V Showcase and he didn't back down from the bigger defensive lineman he faced and he thrived. I'm excited to see what Kakaerko has in store this season.     The Dalers graduate some great defensive players but Kama's a guy who'll be a productive linebacker. Coming off of a terrific lacrosse season, Kama's game in both sports revolves around toughness and great instincts. Kama is a classic Farmingdale linebacker, as he was a solid run stopper and also showed the ability to get to the sidelines to make plays. Kama already bench presses over 300 pounds, look out for the 2026 prospect to have a big summer in both football and lacrosse.     The bruising running back from Roosevelt is looking to build off a solid junior season. Giles is listed at over 200 pounds and he's one of the top power backs you'll see in Nassau County. He runs extremely hard and gets a ton of yards after contact. Giles is a back that will keep the chains moving and also cash in on short yard situations. He would shake off tacklers and at times even drag defenders for an extra 4-5 yards. Giles will be leading the Roosevelt run attack and he will also contribute on defense at the linebacker spot.     MacArthur is looking to get back to glory and Seder will be a big part of the plan. The 2025 prospect plays both running back and linebacker for the Generals. Last year they went 4-5, but in all of their victories Seder was the one leading the way. He ran for over 100 yards in all of those wins and he showed his toughness and ability to break tackles to keep the chains moving. He is going to be a very important piece at linebacker this season. The speedy middle linebacker had a productive junior year and will be counted on being an elite run stopper for the Generals to make a playoff push.
