As the seconds ticked off at Bragg Memorial Stadium in Tallahassee last December, the Miami Norland Vikings watched their dream come to an end.

Losing the 2M state title game to Tampa Berkeley Prep ended a year that this program had never seen before – winning 14 straight games before the crushing 28-20 setback.

Even though this program lost several vital performers, head coach Daryle Heidelburg and his staff worked hard to replace many of those elite performers.

After a solid spring, this summer has been very productive as the Vikings have won 7-on-7 tournaments at colleges throughout Florida and the southeast – and the linemen have also had their opportunity to make a statement as well.

Fresh off a week-long caravan of colleges and universities, this team is ready for the rest of the month and into July.

Along with those players taking part in the 7-on-7 and combine events include offensive seniors (2025) [player_tooltip player_id='826621' first='Ennio' last='Yapoor'] (QB, 6'1, 210), receivers [player_tooltip player_id='1403796' first='Jamari' last='Smith'] (5'11 175), Terrance Honeywood (6'1, 170), [player_tooltip player_id='828968' first='Ronald' last='Towns'] (5'11 170), and Jerome Neal (5'9 150).

Running backs Deron Cornilious (5'10, 190), Nathaniel Rosario (6'0, 200), Omar Jefferies (5'10, 155), and Jakarri Gedeus (5'9, 175).

The offensive juniors include receivers [player_tooltip player_id='1158073' first='Damani' last='Downs'] (6'2, 175), Leon Sullivan (6'1, 178), Jaden Page (WR, 5'11, 170), and recent transfer Dawson Quarterman (6'3, 200).

The future looks very bright for this program with Class of 2027 sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='1258790' first='Kai' last='Moore'] (QB, 6'1, 160), tight end [player_tooltip player_id='895303' first='Trae' last='Proctor'] (6'5, 185), and receiver Marquise Siggers (5'10, 150).

The summer also uncovered a solid defense with 2025 defensive backs Jahiem Hines (5'10, 155), Isiah Rock (6'0, 170), [player_tooltip player_id='831337' first='Anthony' last='Ottinot'] (6'0, 180), and [player_tooltip player_id='1539778' first='Joel' last='Mintze'] (6'0, 165).

Linebackers in the 2025 class have also shown some positives with Shawn Smith (6'1, 215) and Andre Farrow (6'2, 215).

The 2026 class is also stacked with defensive backs Keyon (5'9, 165), Jerrard Smith (5'9, 155), [player_tooltip player_id='1581672' first='Javan' last='Allison'] (5'11, 165), Mykhel Nichols (5'11), Jaden Daniels (5'9, 160), and Hat (6'2, 180).

There is no getting around that the future is going to be off the rails with 2027 defensive backs Kenton Dobson (6'1, 170), Reggie Owens (6'2, 170), Alan Blackshear (6'1, 170), and Karron Jeffries (5'11, 170).

THE TRENCHES HAVE MADE SOME NEWS

While the skill positions were getting plenty of attention, the linemen were also turning heads on the college trip.

Prospects like 2025 defensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='953693' first='Darryll' last='Desir'] (6'4, 245), [player_tooltip player_id='953809' first='Mandrell' last='Desir'] (6'5, 245), Michael Smith (6'3, 230), [player_tooltip player_id='1546044' first='Adrian' last='Farrow'] (6'4, 240), Tanary Moore (6'3, 225), and [player_tooltip player_id='1220136' first='Alex' last='Yearwood'] (6'4, 235).

The offensive line also has Isaiah Wright (6'1, 225), Reynaldo Aguilar (6'0, 285), Jean Devalus (5'11, 250), Eduardo Maradiaga (5'11, 235), and Donavan Depass (5'10, 230).

Keep an eye on the 2026 prospects [player_tooltip player_id='283731' first='Khyze' last='Smith'] (6'3, 290) and Kymani Ormsby (6'3, 260), and 2027 player Amari Cherfant (6-2, 280).
