June Rankings Update: 2027 Running Backs

We continue to cover our rankings update in the state of Arkansas for the class of 2027. In this article, we will showcase the 2027 running backs with analysis. Over the next month, I will breakdown these rankings by position in each class with other segments included. He is rated as the 5th overall player and the top in his position in Arkansas by Prep Redzone for the class of 2027. Stephens displays a quick first step, showing good burst through tackles and good vision for reading first-level defender's post-snap. His impressive lateral agility and balance make him a one-cut back who can plant and accelerate upfield quickly, bursting through the crease to the second level. Stephens' breakaway speed at the second level is impressive. He also has consistent hands and hand-eye coordination that make him a threat in the receiving game. His ability to outmaneuver linebackers with fluid route running and strong hands is notable. Dent showcases a quick first step to attack the line of scrimmage, followed by good burst through the gap, leveraging his good vision, acceleration, and lateral agility to navigate through tackles. He demonstrates good contact balance and body control, effectively breaking tackles and consistently gaining positive yardage. Walker displays a quick first step, bursting through tackles, coupled with a good vision for identifying running lanes. He shows patience behind the line of scrimmage, following his blockers, and then demonstrates a strong burst through tackles or outside to reach the second level and beyond. Has the ability to outmaneuver linebackers and corners with fluid route running and strong hands along with good hand-eye coordination that make him a threat in the receiving game.
