June Rankings Update: 2025 Defensive Lineman

We have officially released another rankings update in the state of Arkansas for the class of 2025. In this article, we will showcase the 2025 defensive lineman with some analysis. Over the next month, I will breakdown these rankings by position in each class with other segments included.     [player_tooltip player_id='191607' first='Hudson' last='Ball'] is a force in the trenches, dominating against both the run and passing game. Ball is the 5th rated overall player and 1st overall at his position in the state of Arkansas (via Prep Redzone) for the class of 2025. Good bull rusher due to his good lower body strength, acceleration and hand placement as he engages quickly to extend and drive back the guard or speed to power combined with good pad level, allowing him to gain leverage to put pressure into the pocket. Dominates base and reach blocks due to good processing skills to diagnose base/reach blocks with good pad level, reaction, hand placement and timing to extend and lift or drive the OL due to his ability to attack the shoulder, controlling and reading with solid up field burst with the ability to disengage. He brings a sideline-to-sideline motor with physicality on the edge. Ball displays very good explosion off the line of scrimmage. Ball is a guy with athleticism and foot quickness that can consistently win off the edge 1v1, putting pressure on the quarterback/backfield. He displays good athleticism with good lower body strength to drive the OL back into the backfield on bull rushes, making himself a perfect match for disrupting both the pass and running game. Demonstrates a great mixture of vision, full body power, speed, hand strength and hand placement to read and shed off block's vs the run. Good foot quickness and pad level to create that leverage while showcasing the ability to read and react off blocks and make a play in the backfield. Showcases multiple pass-rush moves including bull rush and speed to power due to his good hand timing, hand placement and lower body strength to beat his opponent into the backfield and pressuring the quarterback. His ability to read first and then quickly react into shedding blocks vs the run is impressive, consistently making plays at the LOS or backfield.
