This roster of the 2024 6th grade (class of 2030) Florida Future Stars was smaller than the majority of the other rosters, but the talent certainly wasn't. With a nice mix of speed, ball skill and a few monsters up front, watching their third padded practice of the week gave me enough juice to withstand the 90+ degree temperatures on the fields at Clemson University. Below is a look at the 6th grade (class of 2030) prospects that stood out to me.

When looking at the 6th grade Florida Future Stars team, Jarosz was the biggest prospect on the team in terms of a height and weight combination, as of June 2024. Originally from Kentucky and the powerhouse Northern Pulaski program, Jarosz is a recent transplant to Florida. The starter at both Right Tackle and Defensive End, he emerged as big body that has a bright future in the sport. Evaluating linemen at this age is difficult because it's often a case of whoever the biggest kid is, typically wins. That said, Jarosz did show the potential to become a lineman to know in this class.

Throughout practice, [player_tooltip player_id='1315697' first='Josiah' last='Brown'] was matched up with [player_tooltip player_id='1315673' first='Nolan' last='Jarosz'] (listed above) and the two were clearly the standouts along the front. Brown was the first prospect I noticed at practice for the 6th grade Florida Future Stars because he was the tallest prospect on the team, as of June 2024. Very tall, lean and long made him a really good Defensive End during the event. Obviously raw because he's so young, but what could come in a few years, is something coaches will want to knnow,

One of the many talented skill players on this roster, Markham caught my eye during practice. He's pretty well put together for only being a 2030 prospect and it made a difference. Made a number of nice catches during the 7v7 portion of practice and was one of the more sure-handed Wide Receivers on the field. When they went live on defense, I couldn't help but notice the blue jersey always in on the play, too. He was good on both sides.

Logan was a prospect I liked as both a Running Back and Outside Linebacker during practice. Brought some power to the backfield on running plays and hit the whole hard. During practice, moved very well in space for an OLB at this level.

Jacques was one of the standouts in the defensive secondary for the 6th grade Florida Future Stars during the practice I watched closely. Made some nice plays at Safety during the 7v7 portion of practice. Not the biggest kid in the world, but was around the ball and protected where he needed to.

Running Back/Outside Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1315755' first='Nate' last='Blaylock'] was the last prospect I was able to a picture of during practice, much in part because he never got much of a break. A starter on both sides of the ball, he had some of the best hands on the team and he wasn't even a Wide Receiver. Ran hard during practice and was a threat to catch the ball out of the backfield at all times.

Without question, Turpin was the Alphamale on a team that has a scary amount of talent for the future. One of the few who played in this game last year, Turpin had all the QB swagger and confidence you could ask for at this level. In fact, not only did he play and win MVP last year, after the practice I watched he went on to do it again in the games this year. Simply put, Turpin is just an advanced kid as of June 2024. Has the mobility to escape the craziness of a collapsing pocket, on top of a talented arm. Was the lone true Quarterback on this roster, took every practice rep and never once wavered. He truly is a Future Star.

As mentioned above in Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1315769' first='Justice' last='Turpin']'s write up, there were only a few prospects that returned to the 6th grade Floride Future Stars team this year. Whether kids played up last year or reclassed over the last calendar year, the ability was still widespread. A year ago Lundy was a standout performer as a Defensive Back; He earned recognition again this year, but on the offensive side of the ball as a Wide Receiver. Really good length and hands on the outside made him a favorite target.

A prospect that I liked as both a Wide Receiver and as a Cornerback on the 6th grade Florida Future Stars team during practice. One of the taller, longer skill position players on the field, he was draped all over the opposing receivers during 7v7. On the contrary, proved to be a deep threat option but also had enough quickness to make people miss in short proximity.
