One of the fastest-rising 2026 backs not only in Atlanta but across the state right now, Baker is a physically put together back with easy Power Four size at 6-foot-2 200-pounds who earned a big new offer from the Ohio State Buckeyes. Baker ran through defenses consistently last fall as a sophomore and it's led to a number of major offers over the last few months. In addition to his offer from the Buckeyes, this Fairburn native also holds offers from N.C State, Auburn, UCF, Texas A&M, and Kentucky, among others. He's a back that runs with authority with an excellent blend of size, burst, power and vision. He can break tackles, keep the chains moving, and has enough speed to get to the perimeter and up the field. He should fly up the 2026 Prep Redzone rankings when the next update is released and could see more offers come his way by the end of June. As good as he was last year, you can expect Baker to be even better as a junior in 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='1201786' first='Blake' last='Stewart'] - ATH - Woodward Academy

One of the top two-way athletes in Atlanta, Stewart was once an "under the radar" type of prospect, but it's hard to give him that label now with his recruitment heating up. A natural athlete with a lengthy 6-foot-1 175-pound frame, Stewart is a strong run defender in the secondary who is reliable in zone coverage down the field. He reads the quarterback, closes well on receivers, and knows how to break up passes when the ball comes his way. Whether he's in the secondary or lined up at receivers on offense, Stewart is capable of making a big play at any point in the ball game. He shows good instincts and easy size for his age, and he's easily one of the top prospects on the rise right now in Atlanta. He camped at the University of Georgia this week and left Athens with a big offer from the in-state Bulldogs. With an offer from Georgia in hand, look for more to come his way sooner than later.

Djimon McLendon - DB - Tucker

A new prospect on the rise to know about in the 2026 class, McLendon is another Atlanta-area prospect from Tucker who earned a big offer this week from the powerhouse Georgia Bulldogs. A versatile defensive back who can play on the outside or in the middle of the field at safety, McLendon shows strong instincts in coverage with promising hands when making a play on the ball. He brings a promising 6-foot-1 175-pound frame and could be one of the top 2026 defensive backs in the area this fall. He's an above-average athlete and will only get better and better over the next two years. He was a "breakout" candidate to know heading into his junior season, but it looks like the offers are starting to roll in already. He knows how to tackle, reads the pass, and if he continues to perform well in camp settings across the country, more offers are likely coming his way.
