Louisiana high school football teams are still several weeks away from putting the pads back on, but players all over the state have made the most of busy summers on the 7-on-7 and camp circuits.

Here are notes on nine unranked players offensive prospects who caught Prep Redzone Louisiana's attention during June and will join their respective class lists during the upcoming preseason rankings update process.

[player_tooltip player_id='1348446' first='Draylon' last='August'] — 6-1, 155 WR — Lafayette Christian (2026)

The Knights' speedy receiving corps and potentially explosive offense look poised to remain strengths this fall despite graduating so many key pieces in 2024. And August, a rising junior, was among the new faces that caught our attention at the recent Louisiana (Lafayette) 7-on-7 tournament with his long, lean frame and confidence catching passes in the middle of the field and on the goal line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1356118' first='Asher' last='Carter'] — 6-3, 170 WR — Zachary (2027)

LSU-signed pass-catcher Trey'Dez Green is the biggest name and most well-known face from a strong 2024 class of graduates the Broncos are tasked with replacing this year on the roster as a whole and in the receiving corps specifically. But Zachary has some promising young prospects on the rise including familiar names for Prep Redzone Louisiana fans such as [player_tooltip player_id='920618' first='Kristion' last='Brooks'] (2026) and [player_tooltip player_id='1250283' first='Trikoby' last='Rheams'] (2027) and a new name in the big, physical Carter, who brings some edge to the group.

[player_tooltip player_id='1336782' first='Landon' last='Chavers'] — 5-9, 150 WR — Loranger (2025)

The connection between standout Loranger quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='291167' first='Colton' last='Morris'], a frequent Prep Redzone Louisiana name the past two years, and his fellow rising senior was on full display early this month when the Wolves visited Denham Springs for the first week of Baton Rouge metro 7-on-7 action. The quick, sure-handed receiver cut up all over the field in the team's three matchups, including a deep, game-winning shot down the sideline.

Rida Ghazzali — 6-3, 185 QB — Riverdale (2025)

The Rebels have enjoyed a few notable college signees during the past decade-plus, but haven't been particularly known for doing so on a big or consistent scale. But the rising senior quarterback is among a talented group coming through the Jefferson school, just outside Orleans Parish, who hope to — and have legitimate potential to — flip that script. Ghazzali has a good-sized frame, active feet, a strong arm and quick release and carries himself with a notable confidence in both himself and his teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='1335946' first='Dorrion' last='Hollins'] — 6-4, 200 TE — East Jefferson (2025)

On an impressive day overall for tight ends at LSU's Friday Night Lights camp this past week, Hollins was an under-the-radar prospect who stood out enough to be selected among the event's top performers to participate in the final sessions of the evening in Tiger Stadium.

[player_tooltip player_id='1335954' first='Darrin' last='Magee'] — 6-4, 195 WR — East Ascension (2025)

Another intriguing, under-the-radar pass-catcher, Magee has a tall, long frame and solid build and caught Prep Redzone Louisiana's attention at the Ragin' Cajuns' 7-on-7 tournament with his speed after the catch and ball skills when given the opportunity to make plays in the air.

Miguel Whitley — 6-0, 180 WR — St. Augustine (2027)

One of the youngest players on this list, Whitley has been a consistent playmaker this summer — maybe the most consistent — split out wide and stretching the field vertically for a Purple Knights offense that looks promising for this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1336716' first='Daylen' last='Wilson'] — 5-10, 160 WR/DB — Calvary Baptist (2025)

Another notable new addition to the Cavaliers' already-strong foundation for a potential title-repeat run, Wilson brings another speedy, sure-handed weapons to the offense after his family's move back to Louisiana. Calvary Baptist boasts a great recent track record at developing receivers, and Wilson brings an athletic profile with standout quickness and ball skills that should set him up for a huge fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1348431' first='Kanye' last='Zenon'] — 6-0, 160 WR — St. James (2026)

The Wildcats are another high-profile program, fresh off a state championship appearance, whose young roster has looked impressive this summer. And the speedy outside receiver, a multisport athlete for the school, has been a breakout performer whose emergence has helped provide a great balance of weapons filling big shoes left by the 2024 class.
