Most of the prospects are listed alphabetically, but the Wildcats’ safety was the in-state story of the event as he picked up an LSU offer following a pair of 4.4-second 40-yard runs and carried his strong performance right into drills, one-on-ones and seven-on-seven sessions.
Chris Addison Chris Addison 6'2" | 210 lbs | ATH Franklin Parish | 2026 State LA — 6-2, 210 ATH — Franklin Parish (2026)
The Patriots’ standout first hit the Prep Redzone Louisiana rankings as a freshman pass-catcher before filling out and putting together a strong sophomore highlight reel on defense. He worked at tight end Thursday, making a few catches and appearing firmly on the Tigers’ radar at the position that the staff has done well recruiting into a strength in recent cycles.
Jakai Anderson Jakai Anderson 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR McDonogh 35 | 2026 State LA — 6-0, 160 WR/ATH — McDonogh 35 (2026)
and Jakobie Anderson Jakobie Anderson 5'11" | 160 lbs | DB McDonogh 35 | 2025 State LA — 5-11, 160 DB — McDonogh 35 (2025)
The Roneagles’ dynamic brother duo both made their share of plays on their respective sides of the ball — the electric Jakai, an LSU target, proving difficult for opposing defensive backs to contain, and Jakobie, picking up of his own offers this spring, holding his own on defense against a great receiver turnout.
Russell Babineaux Russell Babineaux 5'9" | 160 lbs | ATH Acadiana | 2025 State LA — 5-9, 160 WR/ATH — Acadiana (2025)
LSU was among Babineaux’s initial offers more than two years ago, and — as he had on multiple occasions — he showed out in another camp opportunity in Baton Rouge, giving opposing defensive backs fits and appearing to live open in one-on-one and 7-on-7 reps with his ability to consistently create separation.

One of the nation’s top 2026 prospects made the short trip across campus to work with Tigers coaches for the second time in three days, getting opportunities to work on both sides of the ball and providing a strong sign for hometown LSU in its work to hold off Texas A&M and others in the Cubs’ star’s recruitment.

A pair of rising sophomore receivers from nearby programs with consistent recruiting pipelines to LSU were among a slew of promising young skill guys who had strong showings and appear firmly on the Tigers’ radars early on in their respective processes.

The two defensive backs from the Division-II Non-Select state runners-up, the returning all-stater and the budding underclassman standout, each snatched interceptions during the afternoon session.

Destrehan | 2026

LA
— 6-0, 185 WR — Destrehan (2026)
The Wildcats’ rising junior standout, who earned his LSU offer in January, boasted some of the day’s top testing results with his 4.34-second 40-yard dash, nearly 40-inch vertical and 10-foot-3 broad jump and then lit up his competitive reps with several catches and other wins.
Hayden Ray — 6-2, 230 TE/DL — Live Oak (2026)
The Eagles’ big, physical and versatile standout worked at tight end and seemed to create or find space and haul in receptions on almost every seven-on-seven rep he got.
Warren Roberts Warren Roberts 6'3" | 220 lbs | DL St. Augustine | 2025 State LA Jr. — 6-3, 220 DL/LB — St. Augustine (2025)
One of Louisiana’s hottest names on the recruiting trail during the opening weeks of June carried his momentum right into Baton Rouge with 4.47- and 4.49-second 40-yard times and a strong, consistent showing in his drill and one-on-one opportunities.
Ferzell Shepard Ferzell Shepard 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR Scotlandville | 2025 State LA Jr. — 6-2, 175 WR/ATH — Scotlandville (2025)
The Hornets’ multisport standout looked the part of another interesting potential 2025 receiver target last the Tigers’ look to fill out their class at the position. Shepard’s track speed and long frame helped put him on the radar as a sophomore, and his slew of highlights from the most recent camp included several vertical routes burning past the coverage as well as at least one nice leaping, adjusting grab over a defensive back.
Kenny Thomas — 5-9, 170 RB — North DeSoto (2026)
The Griffins’ rising junior back ran one of the best 40-yard times of the day with his 4.42-second performance. The 1,000-yard rusher this past fall has been active on the camp circuit thus far this month and appears to be a somewhat under-the-radar prospect to watch moving forward.
Malachi Ziegler — 6-3, 190 QB — Benton (2027)
The Benton standout, the fast-rising breakout star of Louisiana’s loaded 2027 quarterback class, showed off his arm with some nicely thrown deep balls in Baton Rouge.
