Freedom Fullerton
Freedom Fullerton
Freedom Fullerton was the biggest standout from Oshawa this week. Freedom is a very talented football player that can play both sides of the ball, but WR is his best position, in my opinion. Oshawa was down in the game with about 3 minutes left, and Essex was leading and had the ball in the red zone, and this is where Freedom took over. Essex threw the ball up to their better WR and Freedom picked the ball off to give his team a chance to comeback. Freedom’s route running was very impressive to watch, as he would break down his route with speed and precision. Being an excellent route runner at such a young age, I am looking forward to seeing what is in store for Freedom Fullerton.

Tucolin Downey
Tucolin Downey
Tucolin was the best player on the field this week, as he was dominant in all aspects of the game. He played both WR and RB in this week’s matchup and was very good in both positions. His speed and physicality allow him to dominate the U14 age group. The play that stood out the most to me was when he ran a go/fly and his QB threw the ball short. Instead of just giving up on the play, which you see a lot of young kids do at this age, Tucolin came back to the ball and actually mossed the defender, which then allowed him to turn around and run for a touchdown. Tucolin is a very athletic kid, and if he sticks with football, it could be a great path for him.

Matthew Dowdle
Matthew Dowdle
Matthew was very impressive to watch, as he was so explosive and physical for only being 5’5″. I saw him truck players who were 45–60 pounds heavier than him, which was nuts to watch. Matthew just played with this mentality that no one will get in his way and many times people could not in fact stop him. At such a young age, for Matthew to be doing what he is doing is unbelievable. He also has the ability to always find the edge and burn past defenders with his quick speed. I would be shocked if Matthew were not an OSFL All-Star or Last Drive Football Player of the Week. Matthew Dowdle is up next.
![Leith Crawford](https://prepredzone.com/wp-content/themes/prep-network-content/public/images/generic-male.png)
Leith Crawford
Leith Crawford
Leith Crawford was one of the bigger kids on the field, standing at 6’2″. He was able to be dominant on both sides of the ball, but O line was his specialty. He would give his QB all the time in the world to read the field, which is a QB’s dream to have. He was able to take on Essex’s best D-line player with no issues at all. Leith is a very athletic O-lineman, which at this age you don’t frequently see in his position. Leith has the attributes to be a competitive O-lineman if he dedicates the time and effort to developing his skills.

Nash Simms
Nash Simms
Nash Simms did not play the whole game because he got injured. But when he was in, he was a force to be reckoned with. He is a very raw player who can be dominant when he needs to be. Nash is very athletic for his size and is able to run all over the field and get involved in tackles. When he was in, he was able to cause chaos on the run game. You could see Nash’s impact because when he got pulled out of the game, Essex was able to run the ball a lot more confidently. With the right coaching, Nash has the ability to continue to grow as a player and compete with some of the best in Canada.
