Cody Burk Cody Burk DL Organ Mountain | 2025 State NM , Organ Mountain: Burk was a two-way standout for the Knights last season, playing both offensive and defensive line. He finished with 42 tackles and 6 TFL, and is Organ Mountain’s second leading returning tackler behind LB Nathan Pate.
Nate Christensen Nate Christensen 6'3" | 205 lbs | TE Santa Fe | 2025 State NM , Santa Fe: Christensen has great size at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds and should be a catalyst from his TE spot for the Demons’ passing attack this season along with speedy WR Bryce Melton Bryce Melton WR Santa Fe | 2025 State NM .
Angel Gallegos Azpeitia Angel Gallegos Azpeitia 5'11" | 160 lbs | WR Cleveland | 2025 State NM , Cleveland: Azpeitia was Cleveland’s #2 receiver last season in terms of receptions and he’ll likely take over the #1 role in 2024. His impressive performance at the College Football Prospect ID Showcase in February earned him invitations to numerous camps, including Eastern New Mexico and UT Permian Basin.
Julian Griego Julian Griego 6'3" | 180 lbs | DL Tucumcari | 2025 State NM , Tucumcari: Griego is a TE/DE for the Rattlers. Great length at 6-foot-3. Nearly half of his tackles last season produced negative yardage. He knows how to beat opposing offensive linemen and wreak havoc in the offensive backfield.
Mason Gurule Mason Gurule 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Volcano Vista | 2025 State NM , Volcano Vista: Gurule has been tasked with replacing workhorse Alijah Gonzales Alijah Gonzales 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Volcano Vista | 2024 State NM at running back, no easy feat. But the Hawks coaching staff believes the 5-foot-11, 190-pound Gurule is up to the challenge. He was Volcano Vista’s backup RB in 2023 and added double digit receptions as a WR. Eastern New Mexico and New Mexico Highlands have expressed interest. Central Oklahoma invited him to camp. He visited Langston University.
Luke Linnan Luke Linnan QB Mayfield | 2025 State NM , Mayfield: Linnan is overshadowed by the dynamic quarterbacks at Centennial and Las Cruces, but he’s a very good QB himself. Linnan led the Trojans to the quarterfinals of the Class 5A playoffs in 2023 and they hope to make a deeper run this season.
Jace Pitt Jace Pitt 6'1" | 170 lbs | WR Rio Rancho | 2025 State NM , Rio Rancho: The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Pitt ascends to become Rio Rancho’s No. 1 WR in 2024 following a solid junior campaign. He has good size, great speed and soft hands. He has camp invitations from UT Permian Basin, Henderson State and Ripon College.
Israel Silva Israel Silva 6'2" | 280 lbs | OL Aztec | 2025 State NM , Aztec: The depth of the 2025 OL class is impressive, and Silva is another big offensive linemen. He’s about 6-foot-2, 280 pounds with good feet and mobility. Aztec has the players to have another good season in 2024.
King Taushaun King Taushaun 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Farmington | 2025 State NM , Farmington: Farmington’s WR corps for 2024 is outrageously talented and Taushaun will have a major role to play. He had 28 receptions for 326 yards and 3 TD in 8 games last season.
Matthew Van Why Matthew Van Why 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR Del Norte | 2025 State NM , Del Norte: Arguably one of the most underrated players in the Albuquerque Metro Region, chiefly because of Del Norte’s lack of success in football. Van Why is a 6-foot-2 WR/CB with good speed and athleticism. He has numerous camp and Junior Day invitations, including Eastern New Mexico, West Texas A&M and Hardin-Simmons. He visited Western New Mexico in April.
