Prep Redzone has the details…
Max Brown Max Brown 6'0" | 205 lbs | RB Jefferson | 2027 State GA – ATH – Jefferson
A dynamic, playmaking prospect who can make plays at both running back and linebacker, Brown is a tremendous overall athlete who is already considered one of the top prospects in Georgia for the 2027 class. At running back, Brown shows natural vision, burst, toughness, and the potential to have a big sophomore season as the Dragons may have to give Brown more opportunities to carry the ball. Defensively, Brown is a sure-tackler who can sneak out the run while having enough speed to run down ball-carriers behind. As a freshman last year, the playmaking defender made 43 tackles, one forced fumble, and one blocked punt. Brown gives maximum effort and already owns a giant offer list. Now, he’s earned a new one from the Duke Blue Devils. He’s a terrific overall athlete who should see his role increase both defensively and offensively in 2024. He’s now ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 1 LB prospect and the No. 5 overall prospect in the state.
Myles George Myles George 5'11" | 165 lbs | ATH Villa Rica | 2027 GA – ATH – Villa Rica
An impressive freshman defender who can play multiple positions defensively, George is a quick, instinctive defensive back for his age who can make plays in different ways. He’s a hard-hitting freshman who knows how to deliver a sound, physical hit behind his pads against the run, but he can also attack the quarterback on a blitz. At 6-foot-0 180-pounds, this West Georgia prospect brings good size already to go along with natural athleticism and a feel for the game. He plays the game like a veteran, doing his job and making an impact consistently throughout last season. He can run, hit, cover, and showed last year he can play at a high level. He has the potential to turn into one of the top 2027 defenders in West Georgia, and with that will come a new ranking in the next update down the road./
Jaden Upshaw Jaden Upshaw 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Lee County | 2027 GA – WR – Lee County
There’s a new playmaking receiver to know in South Georgia, and it’s the long, athletic Upshaw who stands at an impressive 6-foot-3 190-pounds. He sure doesn’t look, or play like someone his age, and he turned plenty of heads last year as a freshman where he caught 15 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns. Those may not be jaw-dropping numbers, but it was just year one. His size, ball skills, hand-eye coordination, and natural playmaking ability have led to a recent SEC offer from the Ole Miss Rebels. If he continues to work on his craft, develop his route-tree, and continue adding good muscle and mass, more offers are likely to come his way. He’s one of the top prospects already on a loaded Lee County team, and his recruitment is about to blow up. Look for Upshaw to get a big rankings boost in the next Prep Redzone update with the potential for monster sophomore season this fall.
