Starkville Spring Campaign

Here are some guys from this team that you need to check out.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Jay Ruffin</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ruffin is a dog that is holding it down at quarterback this season. He stepped up for them a few games in the 2022 season with Starkville won their last state title game. This guy is a player that is very gritty. He loves to be aggressive on the field. We think that he is a guy that will be a defensive back on the next level. He has the talent to play whatever position Starkville needs him to play. He is a guy to know in this class. Ruffin is a 2025 guy.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Davarrious Hairston</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hairston is a defensive back that their defensive back coach has been bragging to me about since his sophomore year. Last year, we were able to see Hairston step up and play the safety position as well. His sophomore year, we were able to see him line up at cornerback a lot. At this point, it is still kind of hard to tell what position he is going to play on the next. We know that he is ready to make some big things happen on the field next season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Courtland Cooper </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cooper is a running back that has been doing big things for Starkville since his sophomore season. He is a dog that knows how to handle his business in the trenches. Cooper is also a guy that knows how to go out and catch passes. He is a player that we want college coaches to go ahead and see. He is a guy that knows how to ball. This young man is going to have a good season this year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1217342' first='Philip' last='Swann']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Swann is another player from this team that we like a lot. He is a 2026 tight end that does a good job of moving around on the field. Swann is a player that saw a lot of playing time last season as a sophomore. He is a player that coaches are going to not want to sleep on. Swann knows how to go and get the football. He also has some nice bend in his body. This is a guy to know from the Yellow Jacket squad.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
