But as well as the first eight games of the season went, reality set in with losses to Plant City Durant and Lutz Steinbrenner in the regular season – and Riverview Sumner, for the second time, in the state playoffs.
That loss in the first round was something that truly showed this program that if they put in the work anything can happen.
On Oct. 13, the Sharks had dropped a 40-7 decision to Sumner, but it that playoff game it came down to the finish as they lost a tough 33-28 decision.
What the 7-4 season and playoff appearance did for this program is energize them and give this team plenty to feel good about heading into the off season.
With spring winding down and summer right around the corner, the Sharks will rely on some rising seniors (2025), who return hungry and with a chip on their collective shoulders.
