’28 Kevin Hartsfield Kevin Hartsfield 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Newton | 2028 GA
The 6’0 185 RB from Covington was my MVP on the day. Extremely polished RB for an 8th grader. Solid throughout the metric testing and showed that “twitch” during the position drills. He already possess a high school ready body and the skill set to match. Hartsfield will be an interesting follow the next 4 years to see how he physically develops. If he grows a few inches he could easily be a top WR prospect. With added weight and height, LB could be his spot. As of now, he is the #24 ranked overall player in the 2028 Class and one of the top RB prospects at the middle school level.
’28 Tripp Chatmon Tripp Chatmon 5'6" | 165 lbs | RB Cartersville | 2028 GA
The 5’7 160 Cartersville native is a natural at the RB position. Explosive 1st step with a good RB build with a solid leg base. Athletic and has tested well in the metrics. Has a 4.10 Shuttle with a 6.50 L-Cone to go along with a 31 inch vertical jump. Shows good vision on his 8th grade film, accelerates well around the corners. Plays in an outstanding program at Cartersville and it will be interesting to watch his development over the next 4 years.
’28 Calvin “CJ” Wynn
The 5’7 150 Washington-Wilkes native was our MVP back in the Winter combine. I’ve been impressed every time I have seen this guy compete. A little smaller than some of the other backs but makes up for it with his quickness and agility. Great twitch to shake off defenders in the 1v1’s and good hands out of backfield. Recently selected to the 8th Grade Future Stars team. Developing in a great program at Washington-Wilkes that is loaded with talent in the ’28 Class. I look for Wynn, as well as his team, to make some noise Statewide the next 4 years.
’28 Matthew Gibson Matthew Gibson 5'9" | 175 lbs | LB Calvary Day School | 2028 GA
The 5’8 172 Calvary Day prospect is a natural LB but showed this past weekend that he could also be a threat on the offensive side of the ball. Solid build that has defiantly spent some time in the weight room. Showed good athleticism in the 1v1’s and had some of the best hands out of the backfield. A natural football player that loves the game. An 8th Future Stars selection at LB but if they need an extra ball carrier they have one in Gibson. Great upside at the high school level on both sides of the ball.
’29 AJ Cherry AJ Cherry 5'9" | 165 lbs | ATH GA
The 5’8 167 Thomasville native is a RB that caught my eye before the event even got underway. I never would have guessed he was just a rising 8th grader, already looks like he could carry the rock at the high school level. A little raw right now in the group stage with some of the technical aspects of playing RB at the high school level but that will come with experience. Watching his 7th grade film you can tell he has the natural instincts to play the position. Cherry was a standout last December at the GA Elite game in Rome. Physical with good vision and the type of back that would rather run through you than around you. I starred his name on my recruit sheet and he is one that I will be watching this Fall and over the next 5 years as he develops. Big upside.
