Coming at us fast is Forest Park linebacker Evan Weekes Evan Weekes 6'3" | 215 lbs | LB Forest Park | 2025 State VA recruiting with two FBS offers in the past week! Both Morgan State and Hampton have come calling and best be known his rapid rise will not stop with just them. The middle linebacker for the Bruins stingy defense, Evan Weekes Evan Weekes 6'3" | 215 lbs | LB Forest Park | 2025 State VA is a stud at 6’3 and 215 lbs.. He is great off the edge and knows how to shed his blockers to get to the ball carrier.
He can rush the passer and get out in coverage very well, there are reasons why he was named first team all district defense last year. Where I think he will find his best fit at the next level is off the edge at defensive end but that is not for me to decide.
The Bruins have a senior class consisting of close to 10 players that will be playing major college football in 2025 and Brandon Edozie Brandon Edozie 6'6" | 275 lbs | OL Forest Park | 2025 State VA will be one of them. The big left tackle for Coach Robinette has a host of schools after him and why wouldn’t they be? He is 6’6, 275 lbs. and like his teammate Nathaniel Wright Nathaniel Wright 6'5" | 275 lbs | OL Forest Park | 2025 State VA is a top ranked offensive linemen in the class of 2025.
A mean nasty tackle Edozie plays with a deep passion and hustle on each snap, he even tracked down a defensive back on an interception this past year. His effort and tenacity are uncanny with 10 FBS offers and counting…
Briar Woods all world running back William “Tre” Dudley has 4 offers already and more are surely coming he is too talented to pass up on. Dartmouth, Howard and Old Dominion have come calling for Dudley’s recruitment and with visits lined up to many schools in June the offers are going to increase.
When I told you all about this senior class of running backs back in March here is what I wrote about Dudley:
Have I told you how much I really like the running backs in the class of 2025 yet (short answer yes right 2025 VA running backs). We’ll more on this group again with William “Trey” Dudley Jr. as he has been blessed with FBS level talent. While in my previous piece I project most if not all of the backs to go division 1, Briar Woods said hold my drink and I found out more about Dudley. The workhorse back Dudley can stop and start on a dime, he can outrun or run over the opposing defender, putting up ridiculous stats as a junior. He recently picked up an offer from Howard to go along with his first offer from Old Dominion this past January. The amount of offers should reach close to 15 before his senior campaign begins.
I have talked about the transition the Gar-Field Red Wolves are going thru this off-season with a new Head Coach and a few losses to transfers. Senior to be Germaine Gillion Germaine Gillion 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Gar-Field | 2025 State VA though has stayed the course and his hard word is paying off. Receiving his first Division 1 offer late last month from the University of Maine, the sky is the limit for this playmaker.
Gillion did everything for Gar-Field last season at receiver, defensive back and punt returner the young man has a knack for making big time plays. Our 16th ranked corner in the entire 2025 class, Gillion really shines as a punt returner, I saw him bring back one to the house in person last fall so I believe I can testify to his true talent.
Koven Smith Koven Smith 5'9" | 180 lbs | ATH Gainesville | 2025 State VA is back healthy for what should be an exciting senior season with the Gainesville Cardinals. For Smith it is a chance to remind everyone how good he is and he belongs in the conversation for best running backs in the state.
Most recently picking up his 6th Division 1 offer from Hampton University, Smith is somewhat of a late riser to our 2025 class. If he doesn’t get hurt last fall his offers are probably closer to 15 and his ranking is higher to be honest.
