In this week's Recruiting News and Notes, we are going to highlight several prospects that are making recruiting news this week. [player_tooltip player_id='1158063' first='Josiah' last='Warrior-Benson'] is a physical wide receiver that has a knack for hauling in the tough reception. Last season, Warrior-Benson hauled in 13 touchdown receptions on the season. He is a wide receiver that is a vertical threat as well as one that can slice up opposing defenses using his route running. Earlier in the week, he earned a scholarship offer from the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. He is a player to watch out for this upcoming season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='250016' first='Owen' last='Miller']-Quarterback-Harding Academy-2025</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='250016' first='Owen' last='Miller'] has continued to have a strong 2023 season. Miller is an accurate signal caller that fits the ball into tight coverages. He is an athletic prospect at the quarterback position that can hurt opposing defenses with his arm as well as his legs. Miller has the speed to escape the pocket and pick up yards on the ground. I expect him to have a strong senior season with Harding Academy. Earlier in the week, Miller earned a scholarship offer from Eastern Kentucky. [player_tooltip player_id='468365' first='Mitrell' last='Lewis'] is a difficult matchup for opposing defensive backs to account for on the field. Lewis uses his athleticism well to create separation from defenders and snatch the ball away from smaller defensive backs. Earlier in the week, Lewis earned a scholarship offer from Alcorn State University. Ridley has seen playing time on both sides of the ball. Ridley is versatile enough to see playing time on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. He has good quickness out of the snap and gets into the opposing defensive linemen quickly. Ridley clears a rushing lane for his teammates quickly. Over the past couple of weeks, Ridley has earned scholarship offers from both Arkansas-Pine Bluff as well as Arkansas Tech. I expect him to have a strong season for Newport this upcoming season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1155131' first='TJ' last='Hodges']-Running Back-Marked Tree-2026</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1155131' first='TJ' last='Hodges'] has opened plenty of eyes over the past few months from a recruiting perspective. He is a running back that finds the rushing lane quickly and explodes through the seem. Hodges has great speed and is difficult to bring down when he bursts into the open field. The recruiting momentum he has built has not slowed down one bit. Earlier in the week, Hodges earned a scholarship off from the Arkansas Razorbacks. He is a player to watch out for over the next couple of seasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
