Caden Buhr
Caden
Buhr
6'0" | 185 lbs | K
Bettendorf | 2025
State
IA
, Bettendorf
Ranking: No. 1 K/No. 301 Overall
Why He’s Here: Buhr led 5A with 49 kickoffs that went for touchbacks in ’23 and his 52-yard field goal was the longest in the state. His seven field goals were second best in his class, and he was the only non-senior among the state’s Top 5 in converted field goals last fall. Kohl’s Kicking ranks Buhr as the top player in the state at the position in the 2025 recruiting cyle and the No. 13 place-kicker nationally. Iowa played host to him on recruiting visits last fall and again this spring.
Adlai Lounsbury Adlai Lounsbury K Van Meter | 2025 State IA , Van Meter
Ranking: No. 2 K/No. 302 Overall
Why He’s Here: Lounsbury’s 5,978 kickoff yards paced the state last season. He checked in second with 65 touchbacks, and converted 5 of 6 field goal attempts with a long of 37 yards. Lounsbury’s 83.3 percent success rate on field goals was tied for the sixth best in Iowa. Minnesota State, Pittsburgh State and Grand View have reportedly offered him scholarships, while programs like Iowa, Iowa State, South Dakota State, Northern Illinois and others have played host to him for campus visits.
Ryan Bendezu Ryan Bendezu 6'2" | 180 lbs | K Ankeny Centennial | 2025 State IA , Ankeny Centennial
Ranking: No. 3 K/No. 303 Overall
Why He’s Here: Kohl’s sees Bendezue as a 4.5 star prospect on a 5.0 scale after he connected on three field goals as a junior with a long of 40 yards. His 50 converted extra points were the 11th most in the state for ’23. Texas Christian University, Vanderbilt and Temple have invited Bendezue to camp at their schools this summer. At 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, there’s still room for Bendezue to add strength to his frame, especially his lower body.
Ryan Harrington Ryan Harrington 6'3" | 165 lbs | K Ankeny | 2025 State IA , Ankeny
Ranking: No. 4 K/No. 304 Overall
Why He’s Here: Kohl’s ranks Harrington as a four-star kicker and a three-star punter, viewing him as a prospect at both positions for the next level. His place kicking is ahead of his punting right now. Harrington connected on seven of 11 field goal attempts last fall with a long of 44 yards. He added 38 points after touchdowns and recorded 20 touchbacks on 35 kickoffs. Newer to the showcase circuit, Harrington impressed the Kolh’s coaches with his leg strength.
William Ditsworth William Ditsworth P Spirit Lake | 2025 State IA , Spirit Lake
Ranking: No. 1 P/No. 307 Overall
JUNIOR HIGHLIGHTS
Why He’s Here: Ditsworth is a solid all-around football player that happens to punt well. He earned second-team, all-state honors as a running back, rushing for more than 800 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also started for the Spirit Lake soccer team this spring. Ditsworth split his team’s punting duties last season, averaging 40.8 yards on 16 attempts. Upper Iowa invited him to campus for a junior day in April.
Sam Knoll Sam Knoll P Roland-Story | 2025 State IA , Roland-Story
Ranking: No. 2 P/No. 308 Overall
Why He’s Here: Knoll also served as Norsemen’s starting quarterback. As a punter, he averaged 40.2 yards on 36 punts. That’s the position he’ll play on the next level. Knoll is scheduled to camp at Iowa, Iowa State and Northern Iowa during the same week in the middle of June. Some schools could use him at kicker, which he also handles in high school. Kohl’s sees him as a 4-star kicker, a 4.5-star punter and the No. 78 punter nationally in ’25. Arkansas also invited Knoll to one of its summer camps.
Lukis Beroth Lukis Beroth 5'11" | 260 lbs | LS Ankeny | 2025 State IA , Ankeny
Ranking: No. 1 LS/No. 310 Overall
Why He’s Here: Beroth plays offensive line along with his long-snapping responsibilities. There are programs on the next level that can utilize him at both spots. Dordt offered a scholarship last week, and he’s taken recent visits to Northern Iowa and Sioux Falls. Arkansas and TCU have invited him to their specialist camps this summer. Long snapping is turning repetition into accuracy. A person either can or can’t do that consistently. Beroth has shown he can handle it.
